PROUD TO BE A ROBIN!

Josh Johnson : Sat May 13, 2017 11:09 am
Does anyone else think that we have a real talent on our hands here? 22 years old and if the cliché is correct then he isn't in his prime for another 5 years! I really think if he carries on improving then he could become a star player for us, his go forward is really strong, good in the tackle and has lots of energy.

Looks a real prospect, anyone any idea why Clark didn't play I was disappointed not to see him in the squad last night

Rodney Trotter was on his case last night. He has the spirit for it.
I'm amazed Clark hastened involved in the 2 cup games.
We have a core of decent forwards to build around now which Sheens will only improve.
Scruton was excellent again.
Horne Clarkson and a few others can be traded for up grades and we will be even better.

Got to say, Johnson mixed it up with our pack and looked a strong lad going forward. I'd have to watch the game again to co comment on his defence, but if he continues to develop then you'll need a SL return to keep hold of him. Currently, I believe you will replace Widnes next season, so you should be alright.

After the first ten when he gave 3 pens away on the bounce he settled and went really well, got a bit of grit about him as well.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

Said it a few weeks ago after the Leigh game, this kid's a player.

I'm yet to get my head around Sheens' rotation (at least I hope that's what it is) policy because for me he isn't playing enough minutes at the moment.

Surprised Clark made the squad, he limped off quite heavily at Batley.

That clears up why he wasn't playing then, would say greenwood will be a loss but he's not hit the heights he's capable of thus far....

If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.

Re: Josh Johnson : Sat May 13, 2017 6:29 pm
I know Burtons Forearm won't agree but Chris Clarkson has out performed James Greenwood this season. Clarkson needs to recover pronto and get back on the field now as I would panic with Lawler on the right edge defensively.

Josh Johnson is a cracking player. His speed and aggression sets the tone and tempo of how we should play in the forwards as a team. He got pinged 3 times in as many sets last night for interference at the ruck, but he'll learn and probably the occasion got to him at first.

Didn't understand Sheen's selection policy last night. Docker Clay didn't play many minutes and we needed the extra biff that Clark would have brought up front, unless he failed a late fitness test on his ankle.

I wouldn't disagree. Though saying Clarkson has outperformed Greenwood this year is hardly praise. Greenwood has been dog awful.
I think Lawler has defended well. He went well in the cup games.
The use of Docker Clay last night was odd. However it was hard to take Lunt off last night.
