Thought he was at Hudds by then. Got a funny feeling it might have been Richard Moore.

I’ll add, we don’t look the same team when Arona goes off and we instantly look more solid when he returns. His work rate and effectiveness in both attack and defence coupled with him being like a very mobile prop is hugely valuable to our functionality as a team.

He’s very often the unsung hero in our better performances and nearly always the best we’ve got when we don’t play well. Possibly the best value overseas player in the league.

I agree with most of the other posts but this is the most important to me.
Arona is key for us and spelling him should be kept to a minimum.

Just looked, yeah I was wrong. He first won a cap the year before he came to us in 2006 for Bradford. Wasn't good enough while at Trinity or Cas but got picked again while at Hudds and at Leeds. It wasn't Moore either. Ryan Atkins & Jamie Rooney by the looks of it in 2006.

Didn’t Darryl Griffin make the initial England squad whilst with Trinity?

This is where it gets confusing. Wasn't Rooney England Knights? Anyway if we narrow it down to full tests which to me is Australia and NZ I'm guessing it was Ellis maybe??

Think Rooney, Atkins and Ferres played for England Knights in a Trial Nations thing that involved Tonga and someone else. Good call re Ellis but think he may have missed out at Trinity and won his first cap whilst at Leeds. For full cap we may be going back to Gary Price and Michael Jackson

No he won a cap in the final game of the last Ashes series in 2003 whilst still a Trinity player (had another season to go) - I was there :D

Me too. GB leading 12 - 6 with minutes to go then the Aussies chanced their arm, as they do, and next thing you know it's 12 - 12, then 12 - 18. Same day England RU won the World Cup wan't it?
