That’s sort of the point though Ellam, he was showing his best form consistently, and at 29 for a prop is a good age.

Or put it another way, If Fash Paea, and Green are available who will Wigan choose.

My original question was why is he not playing, as he was playing well, no hidden agendas, just a question which seems cannot be answered.

Well actually it has been answered by posters on here, ranging from signing for another team, possibly injured, crazy accusations.

Maybe Radford just prefers Bowden in the 17 instead of both Bowden and Green who knows.

I've been a fan of Green but whilst he is pretty error free he just doesn't use his size to his advantage, he had potential and thought he'd finally reached this a few years ago when both he and Bowden had really good seasons and broke into first team regulars.
If there is one thing I would say from a from a fans perspective is that he seems to lack the aggression to steam into the opposition.

Its a real shame about losing Chris Green but you are right he doesnt have an aggressive bone in his body.
He has always had pace for a big man and should have been encouraged more to offload.
The difference in him this season after coming back from injury is he is running more of a diagonal line which makes him more difficult to stop and then turning in he tackle and using leg strength to make more metres after contact.

Certainly not Fash
Green is in a different League to Fash
Going forward i really cant see a future for Fash at the club.Too small for a front row,has never broken or bent the line in all the games i have seen him play but whether the club see some utility value in him with his work ethic remains to be seen.

I thought Green when Radford used him in in the loose forward role previously probably were his best displays.

I get what you're saying about Fash as he doesn't do anything flashy with the ball however he will be the forward who plays the ball the fastest by quite a distance and hasn't made a error according to OPTA this season and didn't the whole of last season either.

Also defensively they are worlds apart as Green misses quite a few tackles and is very poor when it comes to slowing the PTB down which is Fash's strength.

Fash has utility and that earns him his bench spot.

Green isn't getting picked because Radders prefers Tag, Paea, Bowden and Gaz. I think if Masi was available he'd be ahead of Green too.

Good post, often only people see props as metres made, but errors and particularly speed of the playing the ball are key.

I wasnt convinced about Fash, but he is proving me wrong as above he gets a bench spot in the 17 as he can play any position in the pack.

I'd have Paea, Ellis and Taykor if front of Green.

You could argue for any of Bowden, Masi or Green for 4th prop.

If it comes down to a bench spot between Fashy & Greeny in Saturday semi final, my money is on Green, bigger, faster, a good big un, and all that.
