The point is only valid, though, if I have ever suggested that they should be censored or not express those views. And I have not and am unlikely to do so.

As he hasn't criticised all Jews or anyone for being Jewish and limited his comments to being about Israel we don't know that he is anti-semitic.

When he referred to "the Jews" earlier in the year he said that he was "[isaddened that the Jews, who suffered unbelievable levels of persecution during the Holocaust, could within a few years of liberation from the death camps, be inflicting atrocities on Palestinians in the new State of Israel and continue to do so on a daily basis in the West Bank and Gaza[/i".



The Board of Deputies complained about that as it "[ideliberately abused the memory of the Holocaust[/i".

Quite how they came to that conclusion is beyond me but there is a view out there that criticising Israel is automatically anti-semitic, a view which to me is utterly ridiculous.
