| Anyone got the new F1 game? What has changed since last year? Really annoyed me last year how you were constantly given time penalties when cars would drive into you. Is it the same?

September 2012. Why they release them so late in the season I'll never know.

Ah right, haven't played it but been looking to get it but still being £25 I might just wait for the updated one this year.

There will be no standalone cash in game for Euro 2012 from EA this year. Instead it will be a dlc add on for FIFA 12 priced at £15. Might actually purchase FIFA now, Sainsburys are selling it for £25!

Wonderful news, truly wonderful. EA are a fantastic company who really listen to their fans. (Save me £25 that move).

| Rumours are surfacing about the possibility of the next gen consoles banning used games from being played on them, Nothing been confirmed yet but I think it would be a bad move. It would certainly put me of buying a next gen console. Nothing confirmed yet mind and I could only see it leading to more demand for console hacks and illegal game pirating.
thoughts?

| I am against it myself, causes more problems than it solves
But then again they are getting very militant about pirating, Sony just pulled some games from it's online store as they have exploits that allow you to install homebrew on the vita, even if you have already bought it then you cant download it anymore.

They are unbelievably busy on the Olympics game. How the hell do you program fog and driving rain into a diving competition?

I'm interested to see how they would enforce that on consoles with no internet connection.

| Just had a go on the new Tiger Woods 13 demo. It appears EA's idea of keeping this franchise fresh is to keep messing with the controls every year.

Well that itself leads to another another rumour. Namely that the next gen consoles will not turn on without a working internet connection and that the 'desktop' will not be console based, but cloud based.

| So I've just finished ME 3 and I'm still undecided. I found it very difficult to get the critisism from people about the ending out of mind. However maybe that is the reason I don't understand what the controversy is about it?
Overall I loved the game. I do wish they'd have delayed the release a few months so some of the bugs could be fixed but on the whole there're some really stunning parts to this game, particulary the parts set on Earth.

| Actually having gone through the ending a couple of times I now realise why everyone seems to be so pi55ed off with the ending. Its almost as if the ending was just put there to just get the game out. There're so many holes in the ending it seems a totally new writing team took over for the last 30 minutes.
*Spoiler time*
How can the mass relays be destroyed? In the DLC for ME2 it was pinted out that destroying a mass relay would destroy solar systems. Yet this doesn't happen when they all get desyroyed. Also how does everyone who was fighting the battle around Earth get home?
No clue is given to what happens after the battle except the Normandy crsh lands on some random planet. How did the Normandy get there if the Mass relays were destroyed?
There's a few more I've spotted but what really anoys me is that unlike the rest of ME 3 the choices you make in the previous games don't seem to matter as all the endings are pretty much identical. I know there's an ending where sheppard lives but even that is only a couple of seconds added on.
Its a shame because 99% of this game (and the other 2 games to be fair) is brilliant but its one of the worst written endings I've ever come accross in any form of media.

Without doubt the best game of the last 12 months. It's an absolute masterpiece. Only game I've ever bothered getting the 1000GS for.

Just finished it last night, and saw two of the endings. I can see where the criticism comes from - especially on the Normandy scenes, which I would have just left out to leave things to the player's imagination. I actually thought the 3 choices were OK - very Deus Ex (some might say Deus Ex lite). But it definitely didn't ruin my experience, although I was preparing myself for the worst. It would have nice to have had a happy ending (and fully explained) like ME1, but this wouldn't have fit with the arc of the story IMO. The final section on Earth is entirely satisfactory if you consider that to be the real ending (i.e. the story of the team you have built making the ultimate sacrifice, the lead-up with everyone saying their goodbyes etc).
I've decided to start afresh and play everything through again from ME1 & buy some dlc for the 3 games (something I've resisted so far). Is all the dlc good, or are there expansions to be avoided? Not too bothered about buying extra equipment.

That's what I have done, started from scratch, this time with a Fem-Shep. I really enjoyed the ME3 DLC where you pick up Javik, the Prothean. Really strong squad member and it's a great mission too.
Not tried ME2's Shadow Broker DLC, but I've done the Batarian DLC, and the Normandy memorial site.

I know what you mean. As I said the game overall is amazing. Some stuff has been taken out that I liked on ME2. I'd have preffered the dialog to be more like ME1 & 2 with the convo wheel instead of auto dialog, to be fair I thought overall the voice acting was better. I just didn't think the ending made sense and was full of contradictions. Before the games was released it was reported to have 16 DIFFERENT endings - Thats not true there were 3 endings that were 95% the same.
You should play most of ME2's DLC. Arrival, Project Overlord and The Shadowbroker are essential to the story overall. Arrival especially as its the real ending to ME2.
