I'm not religious but because a few nutters come on your forum and spout some e doesn't mean all religious people think the same.
In your hate for religion you don't see the balanced argument and all the good things religion actually does. Creating a moral code / sense of community / helping others etc. You just see all the bad things.
I'm not religious but your hatred of everything religious just comes across as a bitter unbalanced viewpoint. |

I do not how anyone in good consience can be a practicing catholic. If this were a non religious organisation the police would be battering down their doors and arresting a good proportion of it's hierarchy.
In spite of what Jesus was supposed to have said about helping the poor, they surround themselves ostentatious wealth in the form of gold and art among other things then lecture about poverty and the virtues of suffering in this life. Any preacher with more than one pair shoes is a hypocrite. They also neatly airbrush parts of scripture they don't agree with such as the "maketh unto thee no graven images" part.
Cue the OP to denounce them as apostates. |

I like to think I manage to do all of those things, but I'm not religious or feel the need to be to do any of those things. Its called leading a moral life. |

What the other two said plus there are a great many circustances where religions are actively harming people and at the top of that list you would have to put the Catholic Church. |
