Good things can be done in anybodys name, to suggest they are solely done because of religion is ludicrous.



Society advances as science advances and science advances with the demands of society. Religion doesn't advance or contribute anything to society except outdated beliefs which has stunted societies growth.

They do not. As far as I know, not a single Christian would suggest that we should stone a rape victim to death. So, if they pick and choose which parts of the Bible they consider offer good moral guidance, they must have a point of reference other than the Bible.

All I am saying is that religion does good things (as I have noted) and bad things (catholic priests) also.

But religion isn't a necessary precursor to kind acts. If man hadn't invented God, good people would still exist and would still help those less fortunate than themselves.
