All the flagship phones should see the update, however the older ones (Last years +) will probably only get 2.2 if the users are prepared to root your phone and get a update from other sources.

Might seem a daft question, but is Sat Nav free on phones that have unlimited internet.

Why would Sat Nav depend on internet connection?

Isn't Sat Nav a GPS signal.

Sat nav is free, however if you use google maps navigation then the map data is downloaded as it is required, this will come out of your allowance (Be careful as your unlimited internet is not unlimited)



If you purchase something like Co Pilot then there maps are installed onto the phones SD card, as such no data usage is needed.

Yes it is, never used one mate, i know what you mean but thought you would still need a service provider of some sorts and for updates etc

I had the Jet, it wasn't great. I got rid of it to go back to Sony Ericsson, I'm currently on the Elm.

Coming to the end of my contract at around the end of August and wondering whether to upgrade to a better phone. Currently got the Samsung Omnia.



Don't really want to go near the iPhone, mainly because everyone has one and they seem to be more style over substance.

The HTC Desire is a quality phone. The screen on it is amazing. Kind of wishing i'd have got it rather than the X6

Whilst I no nothing about mobile 'phones nor want to my wife has an iPhone and its very good. I also asked our IT consultant and he reckoned nothing comes close to it.

I've gone with Samsung for the last 3 phones that I've had so I'll probably end up sticking with them again.

It is. By far the best phone I've ever used and comfortably the best available here currently.

iPhone's are good phones, like alot of Apple products they are easy to use and stylish the only down side is the poor battery life and no flash support.

There are lots of phones that beat the iPhone hands down on specs, they have trouble though on the application front, and that is what makes the iPhone so desirable.



Android though is building its applications list by the day, and is becoming more than a challenge to apple and there iPhone.

Even if it is just because there is no one company saying what you can and can't run on YOUR phone.

iPhones aren't good phones. they are a great piece of gadgetory, but the phone element of it isn't as good as a nokia i had 6 years ago. Battery life is crap and reception is poor. That being said, I wouldn't swap mine for a gold pig.

Would not bother really



1. Uses Android 1.6 - this is a bit old as 2.2 has just been released.

2. Small amount of RAM - now if this works the same as other android phones then that is not a lot of room for installing apps. It has a SD Card, but untill 2.2 is rolled out, there is no way to install apps to the SD Card unless you root the phone.

3. Its fecking HUGE, it would remind me of the phone used on jackass... HELLO, IM ON THE TUBE.
