| Unless Grix has already decided Maizen definitely going at the end of the season - which I'd be really disappointed by, seems absolutely ridiculous to bring in Fonau who's only possible position is centre. Saltonstall looks to me to still be carrying an injury from a few weeks back and looked horribly exposed by pace last week - would have been perfect opportunity to give Maizen a chance in what most people see as his best position. We brought him in on the strength of his Italy performances- on the wing - when he completely overshadowed our current star winger.

Just more Grix madness which was always going to bring up specualtion that Maizen is been punished for something rather than just a case of needing game time. I think recruitment next year may be a problem as I imagine players will look and wonder if we are right for them as so many new players seemed to be pushed back out.

| Absolutely barmy goings on. I wonder if Fonau will actually turn up this time, when will we learn? People outside the club must be wondering what is going on and the players must be baffled too. It's no wonder we are so inconsistent let's hope our latest DR adventure doesn't backfire on us.

| I can not see us not playing Fonua and i would expect him to be at centre which would lead me to thinking it will be Tibbs that is dropped which would be harsh considering how he played last week. I just wonder with Fonua being off contract at the end of this season and i would guess he could be leaving Cas if Grix is taking this opportunity to have a look at him as a possible signing for next year just a bit of guesswork but who knows.

| I thought Grix doesn't like lazy players and what I've seen of Fonua on the telly he seems a bit lazy (isn't that why Cas have dropped him?) so it's all abit ironic that he drops lazy players but brings in a DR lazy player!

| A lot of players who might be lazy seem to be players who have come from full time environments to part time. Some have even commented on how hard it is being part time as you have so all your training over a few evening as apposed to having it spread
Out every day of the week and also having to juggle it with another job. Being a semi professional sportsman takes a lot of dedication and discipline to succeed. Maybe more than a full time player

| Wow meltdown time again. You'd think we were the Bulls and using DR and loans every week the way some react in here and social media.
As for Maizen I'm not sure what games people watch. He's shown the odd glimpse, obviously got pace. But his defence has been all over the place, even when he's moved out to the wing in some games. And he doesn't run his weight, doesn't offer the same endeavour or threat doing the hard yards you expect of your three quarters.
Suggesting players might not want to come here with what they've seen, what a laugh. Players with the right attitude seem to have managed fine. If you prefer to keep players that don't fit in or won't do the hard yards in attack and defence alongside their teammates then that is the way to lose the dressing room.

Where is the meltdown? I think everything that has been mentioned or asked are legitimate questions that should be being asked by anyone who has anything invested in the club. Which games was Maizen moved out to the wing that stand out for you as examples? I agree about some of what you say about him but ask anyone to play a position they have not played a lot of and it would be unfair to expect them to excel.
I get the theory behind good attitude and keeping the dressing room but our performances this season don't seem to tie in with that. We have a big discipline problem that has been a feature of Grix's reign which we seem no closer to solving, we have a habit of starting games slow which Grix has called the players out on numerous times this season and again we have seemingly no soloution to this and that is despite having players with good attitudes and whom toe the line. If we are saying Grix has weeded out the bad attitude/lazy players then the players on the pitch for us can no longer be to blame can they and the problem must lie somewhere else?

| I was speaking to the guy who does a lot of the photography for fax on match days at the legends night , he said he wishes this forum was shut down as it’s toxic and brings no constructive criticism whatsoever and is basically a place for victor meldrews to get their moan out of the way . Seems this place has one foot in the grave ….

Its an online version of what we used to talk about in pubs in the 80's & 90's. People pay a lot of money to watch our club and they are entitled to their opinion(within reason) no matter how one eyed or bias it may be. People from the club can choose to read it or ignore it but at the end of the day those fans that are paying their money through the gate are also helping to pay their wages.

I think the discipline issue hasn’t been solved because the players causing it seem undroppable , I can only imagine their stats are off the charts or Grix is guilty of rose tinted glasses as regards the originals , ie tangata ( the main protagonist in this imo )fairbank , kavanagh and larroyer , I’d like to see the stats on their collective discipline . I appreciate their aggressive nature is necessary but for me they often get the balance wrong , lannon for me is a perfect example of someone who has the balance right ( runs hard tackles hard gets onside ptb correctly doesn’t chirp at the ref and no brainfarts) the players I’ve mentioned are good players but can’t be but in the same bracket.

Aye, that's about right regarding discipline although Kav isn't too bad. Lannon though I thought was absolutely outstanding against Barrow and put in a performance of all round quality, a joy to watch from a forwards point of view. Anyroad, time for off. York here we come. Up The Fax!

| Did someone change the title of this thread. Not much said about the upcoming game just lots about how bad some of our players and coach are.
The coaches watch the game and replays but also rely on stats which are not made public and should not be.
Who knows why Maizen has been dropped this week. Probably just Grix and Maizen but there will be a reason.
Oops I went off subject
So come on , less slanging and more support.
Fax to win by 12.

| Don't get why some folk are getting their knickers in a twist about slagging off the players. All in all just "observations" as far as I can see as to why Maizen, for example, might have been shipped out. Quite a tame message board imo. You should read the likes of the whinos BB after they lost at Wakefield, now that was REALLY nasty!
Oh, and re today's match at York. We're playing some good attacking stuff at the mo and AOB has made a big difference. York have a couple of key players back in Antrobus and Glover who missed Haven, but feel very confident even tho' it will be tough. York 12 Fax 28.

Yeah makes me laugh on Facebook where they won't have anything bad said about anyone but its very rare you will see personal attacks and more just comments on performance which for athletes in the public eye is going to happen and whether they like it or not. We seem a very polarised fanbase, it seems when reading posts people either think Grix should be sacked immediatley as we are massively underperforming or you have the ones who think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread and think that he is over achieving because somebody told them we have the 13th best budget in the league.

Score nearly right, not to mention being the wrong way round!
Couldn't make the game today, but following the twitter feed it looked like the usual ill discipline and errors. All very frustrating, but a really tough league, as evidenced by Sheffield losing at Swinton and Batley grabbing it late at Barrow.
A real danger of not making the top 6. Very tough game at Batley next week and if we lose that, London could close to a point when they take on Toulouse (who don't travel well) at home.
For those who attended today, how did you rate the performance on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being brilliant and 1 garbage?

| Serious questions need to be asked now. Listened to the commentary; Another healthy bombed lead and to be out-enthused by York, irrelevant of their league position having played mid- week is pretty abysmal. Why is Fanoua playing? He will be back to Cas next week. I hope Tibbs was injured otherwise why isn't McComb playing at centre? Really questioning Grix's wisdom and judgement and clearly a lack of an assistant coach. Please drop Tangata, he is in the team no matter how poor he is. Why does Fleming play one week and dropped the next? This has all the makings of Marshall's penultimate season when we dropped out of the playoffs. You cannot see any consistency in form whatsoever this year. Big game against Batley.

| And let's be honest, if Sammut hadn't been sent off last week, we might have been on the losing end also. I don't see any resolve or steel in this team at all. They ed away 10+ leads today, Batley, Toulouse, couldn't see the game out against Bradford.

Maybe about a 3. It didn't start well in the warm up with Lannon getting injured but Grix logic dictated that we had a hooker as our 18th man and we had already gone in to the game with a winger on the bench who would be brought on as a second row so not the best of starts. We started okay and looked like we could score quite often but we did bomb a couple of chances before we got schooled by Liam Harris and totally out enthused by a team that played Wednesday night. It had me questioning my own logic in deciding to spend all that money to go and watch them today and I will give Batley a miss next week as I don't think it provides value for money with the talent we have in the squad serving up the same old stuff week in week out and a coach who is devoid of ideas on how to fix it.
I still see on Facebook people saying Grix is a good coach but what are they judging this on? His results? His signings? This season has been a shambles and in my opinion a good coach would have had us competing for 2nd spot with the talent we have in the squad yet we find ourselves with a realistic chance of not making the playoffs.
