We've introduced an academy this year (i think) to get kids at a younger age. We previously had the best under 21's outside of SL but not enough of them were good enough for the first team, only James Haley and Andy Bowman have come through in recent years. |

Yep.
In the meantime we'll try and jump the main hurdle for handing in an application - the first graders to win something or appear in a GF. We romped the reserve grade grand finals two years in a row. It won't take long to get that back, considering we're in a hotbed of young talent in and around the Calderdale area - Siddal being the Minor premiers again this year. |

Leigh won the u21s League on both occassions,you just happened to play more First Teamers in the Grand Final Teams.Over a full 2 years period I think you'll find that Leigh had a much better wins v loss ratio than Fax and the other teams in the league.
By the way Fax are the best team in the big boys league this season ,no doubt, but winning the GF is still a big ask and anything can happen over an 80 minute game be it in the semis or Final.
I also think who wins the league or GF in 2011 should go up if they meet the criteria set,no arguments then. |

They might have got in Leighs first team, but not ours at that particular point in time, thats why they were in the 21's. |

Yes they would, Govin played in one Final along with Wilson and a couple of other regular First Teamers, coming back from injury.
Re getting into Leighs First Team, get down from your lofty perch, Fax have won nothing yet and Leigh have had numerous seasons of being top dog and losing GFs ,4 out of 5 GFs not so long ago. |

None of the first teamers played in the fianl last year bar Andy Bowman, the previous years players like Hartley and Haley played after coming back from injury, at that point in time they wouldn't have got in the first team.
Not on a lofty perch at all pal, i know theres a long way to go and expect us to drop points along the way. |
