| Opening 20 was good then after that it reverted to poor discipline and being out enthused by the opposition. Defending was poor for the most part and our confidence looks shot . Brainfarts from larroyer and tangata. Obrien played well the rest were average. I don’t think Grixs’ coaching is the problem however his man management of some players could be brought into question. Constant inconsistent changes to the squad might be what is damaging the confidence, if you’re gonna drop players to punish them for regular poor performances then at least drop the right ones starting with tangata .

| Grix's attitude and perspective worries me as he doesn't have an assistant who will hold him to account. I am sorry but Irvine has never coached or been close to this level. He is dropping players on seemingly flimsy grounds. Yes, we don't see the stats and the training but the whole 'freshen' things up angle is tautological. Start of the season, allowances for experimentation but in the backend of the season, this approach seems more desperate than anything else. Likewise, it seems bizarre then in the same breath to talk about a lack of desire, but then you drop Moore who he is always waxing lyrical about being top of the effort charts. Tangata needs to be dropped if this is his logic. He talked about Tibbs being patchy which is laughable. I really don't know what to expect for the rest of the season. There really isn't any indication of what to expect. Win at Batley and all might be forgiven. If we limp into the playoffs, it's still anybody's game on the day but surely getting to the semis of the playoffs has to be the bare minimum.

| I am coming back for a couple of weeks end of July, was really looking forward to seeing fax in the flesh again but now, not sure , at least on you tube I can turn it off.
Something needs to change, but who is out there to replace or even help Grix( that is if he would listen to advice), touted as a future superleague coach, not on this seasons showing.

| Marks out of 10? First 20 minutes 7. Last 60 minutes 2. After a bright start we were totally outplayed and outfought. A simple sidestep and our defence was all over the place. No plan b and no creativity at all. It's obvious to anyone watching there is something wrong behind the scenes. The squad we have should be capable of so much more than this. Is it time for SG to go? Until yesterday I had been half heartedly backing him but not any more. It seems he has taken us as far as he can. Also to all those who support our use of dual reg think about this, we have the most prolific winger in the league and I don't think he got a decent pass from his SL centre all game. Add to that three tries came down Manua's flank and at one stage he couldn't even be bothered to chase a kick through sums his contribution up. Useless and uninterested. Another couple of hundred pounds spent having a good weekend away watching the lads spoilt only by the match.

Totally agree..I know there are fans out there who think Grix isn't the issue but i'd challenge any supporter to put a credible counter-argument to this post..

I don't think that Fonua was anywhere near as bad as some people have made out but its a worry that we have the best winger in the league and York should have had to come up with a plan to nulify that threat but instead we did that for them by playing a player at centre who doesn't really have a history of been a try creater. We have a winger on the bench who came on at second row and although he was his usual busy self he really offers little punch and is dominated when defending in the middle, I like McComb but what does his selection and choice of position in the game say to the forwards that missed out yesterday? We send Maizen on DR to Hunslet and bring in a player who we can only assume was dropped from Cas for similar reasons that Maizen was dropped. Again it sends the wrong message. Having Moore as 18th man makes no sense as we saw yesterday, he really only can come in if we lose a hooker. It just seems Grix is at a loss as to what to do at this point.

| It's beyond belief that Fleming wasn't in the 18...but why bring him in then favour a winger as a forward ? does Grix enjoy taking the pizz out of his own players ?

| I could spend a little time talking about what we did right yesterday and a long time doing the same about what went wrong but for me it is crystal clear that something is seriously wrong between the players and the coach. As i see it Simon can not put right what is clearly wrong with our performances if he could it would be happening by now yes the players have to shoulder the blame too they are the ones on the pitch making these mistakes and no coach tells his players to do what we are consistently coming up with but for me the buck stops with the coach. In the past i have called for the sacking of simon and i will hold my hands up and say at that point i got it wrong as for now i just can not see him turning this around and for me that means he should go. As for replacements if he was to leave i would look at James webster Leon price or Liam finn plus you never know who might throw their hat in the ring if the position comes up.
