Indeed - when you're the most successful team in SL history, why look any further than a Championship coach who has just been sacked after a 56-4 defeat?

He's 4-1 favourite. Still very highly rated, for some reason our own fans dont see that.

Well, if you're going to change coaches every ten minutes, no wonder folk are going to pick up the cast-offs.

Leeds are very welcome to him. Highly rated maybe but the reality is a poor squad manager, unable to spot and attract good players, unable to see where improvements need to be made and God help the next club who are looking to develop there attacking line. On paper Mardhall shoul be a world beater considering where Fax finished. Yet it's been done in the main with a squad Harrison assembled, lots of the coaching sessions taken by our current caretakers as well as the motivational player talks... Personally without those senior players around I doubt Marshall would have had those finishes in the top 4.



We were terribly inconsistent, never knew his best side and wanted and was given the clubs pursestrings to look after, which he should never have had...



Sorry but I fail to see what we will miss and I've never been a big fan of RM. Think he was extremely lucky at Fax TBH.



Be interesting to see in his next role how he gets on.

He simply has not got the man management skills to look after the quality of players that Leeds should be attracting. I can just see it now, sending players on DR to Fev and then not even bothering to watch videos of them in action or even take the time to ask the player or the Fev coach how they got on. Hard to imagine that isn't it.......

I hope he gets the job and proves you all wrong - not sure you need anything other than a fat contract offer to attract SL players these days.

And there you have it Harry. When you say all you're not right as there are a lot of Fax fans who think we were wrong in letting RM go. But..there were also many fans who wanted him gone. People who watch Fax week in and week out could see where we were going wrong, it was blindingly obvious, but Marshall couldn't or wouldn't see it and act on it. Good luck to him in the future but Fax go on in another direction now and I for one am looking forward to it. Up The Fax!

If you think about it whatever RM achieves or doesn't achieve at another club has no real bearing on what he would or would not have done if he had stayed on at Fax.



Nothing is the same so can't be used as an equal comparison so won't prove anyone right or wrong.

To a degree..but if he loses the dressing room,plays the same team whatever it's failings,recruits poor players in non-essential positions and thinks pre-season lasts until mid season,then we can say'told yer so'.....

The guy got you into the top four three times in the last four seasons. You're a couple of points off the play-off positions with over half the season to go.

Not heard the Saints rumour, but I'd heard Hull KR which may still be possible now that Smith has gone there.

Wherever he goes I think an assistant position is his level. Good look to him in the future.

I think leeds would suit him . He could bond them back together and develop youth . Recreate the sinfield borrow maguire era without having constant financial worries and management issues

I think that financial worries and management interference are the big issue at Leeds, unless you were being ironic.

Personally I dont think hes a Head Coach fullstop just yet....

Worrying signs yesterday that we might be missing marshalls calming influence . We were well beaten and a trip to red hall as well.a long time since we visited there that i can recall . Who was the last player before Fleming to get sent off ? Manu?

Paying the price for Marshall's poor recruitment and blind faith. Grix has a massive rebuilding job on his hands but luckily a lot of these contracts run out at the end of the year.The only positive from missing out on the top 5 this season is that CC prize money and gate receipts should enable us to have one of the biggest part time budgets again so he should be able to put his own team together.

Massive rebuilding job lol..what sort of endorsement of the current squad and reserves is that . All the squad provide grix with an excellent solid platform to tweak as and when affordable and the right players come along or move up reserves .we dont need massive change just move the right players into the key positipns over time. Evolution. On the discipline front was Manu actually the last fax player red carded in 2015 ? Hell of a dicipline record they can all be proud of . Even leigh learnt that lesson eventually you cant win hard games getting reds and yellows.

We don't have the right players to move in to key positions. By the sounds of it Grix is already looking to offload quite a number of players as its clear to most we have a number of players that can no longer, or never could, cut it at a team aiming for top 5.

I think that's a fair assessment, although we do have the basis of a very strong team.
