Surely he is worth more than Clayton.

Its nothing at all to do with money, its to do with the fact that TM told Boyle he wouldn’t be playing much first team rugby next year, so he felt he had to move for the benefit of his career.

As Pyeman alluded to I think it was more a case that McRae will have offered him a regular spot in the side whereas TM could or would not do that if he thought that he was well down the pecking order and for that reason mainly he has probably chosen Salford first.
