If we do the postcode test I should be a Whino fan, however, when I'm not at uni I live and always have done slightly closer to Cas. Majority of Whino fans are new to RL, which makes this thread even worse because I've no doubt it's been made by them who went went Leeds were !!! And that aint many!

It gets one train an hour from Leeds during Rush hour that stops are such highlights as Cottingley, morley, Batley and Ravensthorpe.



During off peak hours they use them for transporting live stock to market.

Now you see I also get this "banter" at work a lot. I grew up in Kippax but I am now a home owner in Castleford. Now I wouldn't argue there are some people in Cas that could be considered as rough around the edges ( just like anywhere else to be fair ) I know for a fact the worst place in Cas is like a paradise when you compare it to the worst places in Leeds.



Some places are no go areas even for most police. So if where going to go by this logic and stereotype each other then none of you guys will be at the match unless Mel B is there to pay your bus fare.

What is the worst place in Leeds? I mean I dont live in the nicest of places but still when i compare to areas in and around Cas i think it is beautiful. No mutated yokels wondering round the streets. No chavs stood on street corners etc etc.

Halton moor, Chapeltown and harehills to name just a few. Please do not try and tell me there is any where nearly as bad as these in Castleford.

I wont give you Seacroft as it aint looking too bad at the moment. Halton Moor can be bad. Known for its scrotes but some areas are nice.



The whole of Cas is bad for me. It feels like a run down pit town when i visit.

You can't have visited for a while then. It's by no means perfect but it's a bustling town at the moment.

Don,t forget east end park. little london and the bomb factorys in beeston. People who live in glass houses springs to mind

I find it quite ironic that we're comparing Leeds' worst places with Cas. Says it all tbh.

All them places above are quite a big proportion of Leeds! Put it this way, from personal experience I feel far more safer walking around Airdale then I do Gipton! Not that it's a competition!

I suppose it might if you view towns/cities purely on affluence, aesthetics etc and without consideration of history, tradition and sense of community. I find your perspective depressingly common amongst Rhinos fans who delude themselves with the notion that "We all hate Leeds" is born of jealousy as opposed to the contempt in which you were held even when you were crap.

They are? So you're forgetting about Chapel Allerton, Scarcroft, Thorner, Alwoodley, Lanswood, Wigton Moor etc etc.

As someone who'll be traveling up from London tomorrow, can I just say that residents of what is, ateotd, a small provincial town, pretending to some sort of metropolitan sophistication and looking down on Castleford is mildly amusing – a bit like a kitten doing that standing up and raising its paws in attempt to look big thing.
