| Quote mattsrhinos1978="mattsrhinos1978"JJB's presser, if that dosnt depress you as a Leeds fan, then nothing will.
Without knowing he was refering to a professional sports team, you would think he was talking about an u8's team, some of the 'fixes' mentioned should be the absolute bare minimum for any professional sports person
If what he's saying is right, its an absolute disgrace, our squad of players, coaches and management should be ashamed at the culture they've manifested. The coach of Leeds Rhinos happy that the players finally look bothered they're being embarrassed, happy they're finally trying, happy they're talking and asking questions of each other, happy he THINKS they're going to buy in to the fortnights hard work he's got planned, f**k sake...How have things got so bad that these, what should be, absolute unconditional basics, even in a kids team, be seen as progress in one of the biggest clubs in the country, absolutely pathetic.
When we signed donkeys like Donaldson and Thompson we were fed the lines on how they set standards around training, that they're great role models around the place etc etc, clearly total rubbish, our standards are mickey poor and embarrassing, again, if JJBS presser is correct.
He then finishes with telling us that he's always rated Liam Suttcliffe as a half, my god, please just go coach Stanningley and drop Long off as far away as possible on your way.
Anybody involved in this mess needs to be as far away from headingley as possible, players included.
Sorry for the long rant.'"
exactly re donno and thompson did a job for half a season but no way should have got extensions and part of the dor failings
sutcliffe hasn't been a decent half since he did his knee as when he can't run he certainly can't pass , the best quotes of players that played with holmes are how he could find them with any pass if they ran right-- who could sutcliffe find

| No problem with Donaldson's commitment to the team. He's not even a first choice player and has plenty in front of him. He's probably getting picked because he's the JJB of our current squad!
Thompson on the other hand is more concerning given he's taking a valuable quota space. Unlike Donaldson, I can't think of a game in which Thompson's efforts have resoundingly justified his inclusion in the first 17.

JJB was raving about Thompson in the latest presser!

| Precisely. He’s either telling his true opinion in which case he’s nuts, or he’s fibbing and looks daft in front of everyone.

Yep. To get this bad from where we were would seem to be more difficult and take more effort than staying at, or near the top. It's like we put a failure plan in place and executed it perfectly.

| For the first time in his stewardship of the club i really feel Hetherington is under huge pressure now, he has to get this next appointment and subsequent recuritment right... it's not good enough.

I totally agree. GH, as we all know, has been great for Leeds but hes now under huge pressure to show he can still get things right.

| Interesting that Sironen hasn't copped any sort of ban for his attack on Walker's head. I thought he was lucky to not at least see yellow at the time, to not get a ban at all for it means one of two things: either Saints are allowed to do stuff we're not, or they were full of it at the start of the season and they don't really care about player welfare and direct contact to the head. Personally think it's a bit of both, but I thought that was a particularly bad one and when you look at some of the nothing challenges we've had players banned for it sticks in the craw a bit.

Attack on Walker's head? I don't remember it being particularly bad, was it the one when he hit him in the back of the head as he was being taken to ground? I was worried he might get a 1 game ban and miss our cup game with Catalans, but thankfully he got a grade A, for which the sanction is 0-1 games. Obviously it's been judged to have been on the lower end of that scale.
It does seem a typical RFL clampdown on the crackdown has happened again. There were three tackles in the game, two from Saints and one from Leeds, that would have probably been yellow at least in the opening weeks of the season.
