As for Bailey, it also shows up HKR in a bad light. He obviously was never the model professional during his time at Leeds but we still managed to have him out there come GF's and CCF's playing his part and looking in shape for 10 years. A couple of months at HKR and he looks like George Rose's twin brother from a black mother and rumours of letting him go after 4 rounds.

I have noticed in one of the RL weeklies that Ali has been granted 3 month testimonial .Its in the summer months which means he won't be able to stage a game and will have to put a big effort in to make it a success.I hope it goes well for him

Take it he will be stopping off at last chance saloon, AKA Wakefield.

I get the feeling judging by the tone of that statement he may not be stopping off anywhere.



Don't know the ins and outs, but it sounds like personal issues that are much bigger than where he plays his rugby.

I hope Ryan can sort out his personal issues, I cannot understand why the vast number of people on this site have taken to having a go at Ryan. This is a young man who gave over ten years service to the club, he won five GF rings plus playing in a losing final and numerous other honours for playing for Leeds. To me it was a good player, who had yes a short fuse, but every Leeds coach always had him playing. So can people stop having a go at him, it will always be part of the golden generation.

Just a game of rugby played by kids (well there are when you are my age).

I think that folk on here are frustrated that after such a promising start, capped very early in his career (too early?), he never really kicked on to be as good as he could have been.

His early transgressions cost him valuable time when he should or could have been concentrating totally on his rugby career.

He never came across to me at least as being a likeable guy, his no show at the Boxing Day came did him no favours at the end of his time with the club.

So all in all a sense of him somehow letting himself down.

Nevertheless a valuable member of the squad over the decade of greatness.

Sad to see it all end in this way, if it is to be the end for him on the pitch.

I really hope we don't hear about him constantly getting into trouble down the track.



This probably highlights how much Leeds have gone out of their way over the years to help him. Even for a reasonably well adjusted person, leaving the only employer you've known after more than a decade is not easy.

He should have Trained and kept it buttoned. Might still have an employer of over a decade.

Not long after that Powell moved upstairs and Tony Smith came in as coach, so the two of them have worked together previously.

He's got more chance of making a go of it at Cas under Powell than he has anywhere else.

Think he's been brought to Cas to give some of our other underperforming fringe props, Wheeldon, Boyle and Crossley a kick up the jacksie, they've been very poor all season and don't seem to want to improve. Can't see him becoming a regular starter.
