I am OK with Fusitua as long as its at the right salary level as we would still have 3 qouta places available. If the salary is appropriate you won't get a decent overseas player for the same money. If Fusitua had played majority of the games he would be getting an offer from the NRL now. Unless we sort the halves it makes no difference anyway Josh Addo Carr would struggle to score many for Leeds.

Of course they can, the reason Im fine with retaining Fusitua is I think we have bigger fish to fry with recruitment, and we do have the Quota Spots available so Fusi taking up one doesn't bother me too much for next year.

Croft and Lewis in the halves would be good.

Someone like McQueen at the Giants and Mulhern/Sutton at prop and a solid no nonsense prop from the NRL and we`re sorted.

Croft is contracted to 2030 at Salford. Even if we offered him more money (which is possible) its hard to see us offering a six year contract. I was surprised to see he's 26 though - I thought he was younger for some reason.

Maybe he has a 'Joel Moon' clause in his contract in case he gets homesick?

If this is true, not offering a 6 year contract would be a plus from his point of view. I'm sure he'd want another crack at the NRL.

Hardhaker from Fev maybe the last one.We did offer a transfer fee for Hastings but his insistence of a get out clause back to NRL put an end to the deal.

We paid a fee thought to be around 150K to Cas for Gale, and supposedly 65k to Salford for Lui after the Hastings deal fell through. So a bit of a myth that we don't pay fees.

Looking at the market cannot see where we get 2 quality halves without paying a transfer fee for at least one. There are not the players out there available off contract in those positions hence why Sezer has got a deal in the NRL.

Yep. What recent history shows is that we are prepared to pay a fee when desperate. We're certainly desperate now.
