Someone with a bit of humility would have just walked back to his mark after scoring the try. However, he looked at the Carnegie stand and made a show of thumping the cas badge on his chest a few times with an expected smug look on his face.



Having said that why Leeds agreed to let him play against them this year is beyond me. He is miles better than what we have and a big loss. £150k is cheap.

He is a class act as a player, but that's where class and Zac part company. He appears to be an immature and deeply flawed young man. I am sorry that Leeds and Zac had to part ways and I wish DP and Cas every sucess in keeping him on the straight and narrow. But in the final analysis, he did have to leave, he was ill disciplined and a F**k up looking for a time and place to happen and the club had stood by him through too many brain farts. I don't doubt he will taunt us for years to come,

Booed every time he touched the ball, can't knock him for giving some back.



Maybe a player who played a pivotal part in Leeds most successful season in history deserved a bit of humility too.

I admit when it was first announced we had signed Zac on loan I was very dubious, I'd seen all about his off field exploits at Leeds and he seemed a complete idiot.

What has surprised me since he signed for us is how immature and innocent he is both in interviews and when I have spoken to him personally.

Just remember how we all were at his age (and all the other young stars in SL) and cut some slack.

Ultimately he has been given a lot of stick and he has given some back. Surely if fans give it out they have to be able to take some back.



Some people are too precious. I suspect people are probably annoyed he isn't in a Leeds shirt anymore best full back by a distance.

Lets hope it doesn't get as embarrassing as Sts fans relentless "Judas" taunts at Connolly, which carried on for years after he'd left.

The boo's were pretty much comedy boos from where I was in the CT.



It wasn't until he started getting involved with the poop housing that things turned a bit more colourful.

I didn't think it was that bad. It will be some time before I can relax & think a meltdown is not likely anytime soon.

i would hate for us to be booing zak every time we play cas as it's now time to move on imo and let him get on with his life



zak is by far the best full back in super league and i hope that he gets picked before sam tomkins in the england squad at this years world cup

He might be a good player, he might go on to have a successful career at club & international level, but he'll NEVER have any class as a person & NEVER come close to the level of respect Sinfield gained in the game. Zak 2nd in SPOTY?

Nah. Sure he will score tries against us and kiss the badge, and the commentators will say "he's come back to haunt us", cas fans will smugly say "leeds loss is our gain". But in reality no one affiliated with leeds is feeling taunted.



We got some great use from the asset - a title, cc and a treble. But like any asset when the negatives outweigh the benefits it needs to be disposed of, with golding and walker coming through its worked out well.

I agree that I don't think we should boo Hardaker but I don't think he particularly deserves any sympathy either. Whilst I understand he had personal issues, in the end he sodded off when his team were struggling.



So nah let's not boo him but I won't be thanking the fella either.

I wish we had someone capable of scoring tries like the ones Zak scored in the last couple of games...



I wish him well, but he did force the hand of GH regarding discipline. Just hope we develop/find someone as good or better in the meantime





It's annoying that Cas have ultimately profited from ex-Leeds players in so many key positions (and coach), but pretty much all of them seemed to be good decisions at the time. The only one that I don't quite understand was McShane, although he did have to subsist as a SL journeyman for a time before 'making it' with Cas.

He's a young, uneducated, inarticulate tool. I saw another one this week; Barrie McDermott gave an inspiring talk to a room full of people, many with no interest in RL.

A lot of Leeds fans wished him all the best, but he has changed that now with childish comments.

TBF a LOT of Leeds fans started gnashing their tooth and carrying on with vile outbursts on his twitter feed too so for me its fair game if he wants to hand some back out.

I would think that a person who had matured in the way Hardaker needs to mature would see the futility of 'handing some back'.

Let the guy play some rugby. It didn't work out here and he has moved to another club. The words are just that, words. He still has a lot of talent on the pitch and seems to be enjoying his time at Cas. No bitterness from me at all, too much happened at Leeds for him to stay.

Yeah, me too. He seems happy at Cas now and is playing well. I hope it stays that way and he has learnt from his past mistakes. Time will tell, but he has gone now and the chapter is closed between leeds and Zak time to move on.

These posts perfectly sum up my feelings towards Zak and it's now time to move on.

If he gets into any bother in future then it's not our problem any more and Cas will have to see how far their patience will stretch or just how many incidents they will tolerate before issuing warnings etc



Although deep down everyone will say that they're not surprised if/when he does stuff up again, as it's only a matter of time IMO,although I hope i'm wrong
