It’s not far off that without Sutton TBH, Frawley makes a lot of sense now

I really hope they don't make Harry marquee. He just hasn't earned it, and I think it would go down like a lead balloon with the likes of Oledzki and Smith.

I think it will be more if s case of Harry being on a big wage already so it will wipe that out rather than them upgrading his contract, just cap management really.

While a big prop would be great and you can argue the pack sets the platform but if your backs are slow, disorganised, drop the ball and put poor kicks in the pack are going to be knackered as they will be defending all the time. While a prop would be nice it's not essential and if we've got some cap left it might be best to see how the team gels and look mid season potentially to cover and gaps or injuries. We have 4 decent props that will benefit from a full pre season and hopefully a rocket up Sanagre's back side because he has the size and now needs to use it.

An intelligent hooker can also help the pack massively

GH doesn’t need to disclose who the marquee player is, it’s only for salary cap purposes. It will be used on the highest paid players salary.

So: Frawley, Miller, Momirovski, Hudson, Croft, Goudemand, Ackers in so far.



The side is going to look and play very differently next season.



Honestly I thought another decent prop was strategically more important than a new hooker, but I can also see RS’s thinking. Maybe we still have one or two more rabbits to pull out of the hat there.



I have to say I’m not sure how much better/more RS and GH could have done so far, best recruitment round on paper for a very long time.

Anyway, like others I'd love to see a senior prop but think the spending spree might stop short of that through lack of availability not ambition. Think we'll roll the dice on Hudson (if confirmed) and Goudemand and see what becomes available during the season.

The problem with the pack is that it's mostly workmen.

Yes, better hooker etc will see them being more effective but other than Lisone we don't really have any punch / line bending ability anywhere.



On top of that Oledski isn't back to his best after the injury ( wish he'd have done saints special and withdrawn from England team to get OP earlier) and Holroyd faded abit with it being his first full season week in week out.

Sangare has the size but seems to have butter fingers and lack of confidence to hit the line hard.

All three are young for props too. Just think it coukd be a bumpier road next season if even one of our props is out for a month or more.

The buck isn’t stopping with Croft and Ackers, that’s all I know.

Me too Seth. Unreal by GH. He’s certainly stepped up to the mark. 9/10 score for me on recruitment. A good prop might not be financially feasible at this stage but let’s see. That’s the final piece imo is a good metre making prop. We’ve lost Tet and Walters and only replaced one of them

Definitely 9/10. The most impressive thing for me is the way the signings really seem to complement each other and directly address shortcomings that have been present for years. Credit not only to GH but to Smith too. He's clearly not settled for 2nd best. Senior prop would be the cherry on top of the cake.
