Look to be honest Id give Broadbent the other centre spot if i was Agar and we need Newman back I won’t disagree with you on that.

Not even about Hurrell now, Surely we need some more quality at LC to partner Newman? Will be next season now though…..

Briscoe isn’t actually slow, he is however not a centre, and I wouldn’t be playing him there as I say Id be playing Broadbent.

Maybe I shouldn’t have said slow. Dynamic, attacking threat , power, slip pass would all have been better terms. Hurrell not quick no, but powerful ++.

Honestly I appreciate im often too much of an apologist when were poor, I just tend to think looking at any positives is better for my mental health rather than being overly negative, im not one for over reaction and prefer to be pragmatic, don’t get me wrong though of we have a shocker of a season i will say so, there was a point (ironically a game away at Wigan) where i knew that McDermott did actually need to go, it just wasn’t a few weeks into his appointment in a season where we went on to win the SL

Think I’ll post a thread at a net up closer to the time. Before a game I guess would be best. If I don’t agree with anyone I respect everybody’s perspectives. That’s some serious RL knowledge and experience (me included) and it’s great to share some of that amongst us all.

There was a point a couple of years ago where I was very close to leaving the forum, the constant pessimism and over reaction was becoming a bit unbearable, I do think it has got better in that regard.

Fwiw Hurrell on marquee money. Ok he had some negatives but played most games, and entertained us all. He is far more deserving of that money then Tetevano imho.

I think we could have kept him on, but clearly he got the hump that we were trying to down-grade him, despite offering far more than most others in the team. I’ll try not to say anymore on this more as he’s gone, but I think it was crazy not to replace him with a quality left centre.

Bit at least you knew we were signing Kyle Eastmond!

All if say shabs is that keeping Hurrel imo would not have made much difference to how we go this season, he will look good in the saints side because they are so dominant in most games and can compensate for his weaknesses, we currently can’t
