We're obviously clearing cap space to allow Wire to make all their signings!
Is that how it works?

He absolutely dreadful.
Can't catch or tackle. Perfect for Wire.
If you're being binned off by the Bulldogs, and early at that, wouldn't you have alarm bells ringing?!!

No it wouldn't. He's nowhere near that bad in defence and he'll easily be one of the best attacking fullbacks in SL. Have a look at this from just a year ago - 10,000 signatures from St George fans against him going: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACDjd8J6PM8

| Interesting to think how the squad may be shaping up for next year. Possibly something like this with a back up in each position. I can see why somebody like olpherts might be an option for a year.
I think ideally we would like to move prior and Tetevano and being in a big front line prop and another impact prop from the bench. It may be we have to wait for 2023 when both are OOC. Still not convinced about 6&7 but again both OOC in 2023.
1. Hardaker/ myler
2. Fusitua/ tindall
3. Newman/edwards
4. Sutcliffe/Simpson
5. Handley/olpherts
6. Austin/johnson
7. Sezer/sinfield
8. Oledzki/sangare/Walters
9. Leeming/O’Connor
10. Prior/Tetevano/Holroyd
11. Bentley/McDonnell
12. Martin/Gannon
13. Smith/Donaldson

| Injuries aside it looks Ok except for the front line props, which are nowhere near - more than enough numbers if they don't get banned all the time, but just not a top line prop rotation. Injuries are a concern - both halfbacks are getting on a bit and we can expect them to miss a fair few games between them.

The more i watch Sutcliffe under Rohan the more i want to see him stay. He played very well last night, particularly in defence.

| Completely agree, I think Sutcliffe's been excellent in recent weeks and a really valuable part of the squad and I for one would be really sorry to see him leave right now.

| Agree about Sutcliffe who has been average at best for a number of years now.
Last 3 or 4 games he has played well enough to retain him.

If moving him on means more cap space to bring in better players in more important positions, then so be it. Agree he has picked up over the last few weeks, but ultimately players should be judged on performances over years. Let's see what Smith decides.

Thing is though unless he plays Zak there we'd have to bring someone in surely (could be Olpherts but he's a downgrade on Sutfliffe imo).

Zak is an upgrade though. He is a very good right centre (was pleased to see Newman on the left) so ultimately he'd never be a starter in my strongest 13 even as it stands. Ultimately Sutty just isn't my cup of tea as centre and never will be. Appreciate people value different things.

Yes agree with that, i think Zak is a far better at FB though. Personally i think we're better with Sutcliffe at centre and Zak at FB

Yeah Zak can offer so much more at FB. I’d be happy to let Sutty go and sign a quality , specialist centre for next year with whatever cap it takes……

| Aydin recalled by Wakey.
Was quite impressed with him last night. Big lad who put in a shift and let no-one down. Good luck to him in the future.

That’s what I think we may line up like currently.
Judging by Hull FC signings, I doubt that Walker will stay there to be second fiddle, but still an option to leave.

Just seen that and obviously very credible source so would say that’s happening. Great signing that, young, explosive and big potential.

| Sorry might be a dumb question but back rowers we have Gannon Bentley martin and now this Mcdonnell lad. Isn't walters a back rower or is Smith changing him into a prop I sure I read somewhere that he wanted to be a back rower not a prop what's happening with him sorry if its already being covered
