More interesting than our lack of ambition meaning we're third in line for Brett Ferres is that Wigan are still rumoured to be signing Scott Dureau.

The Dureau story was started as an April Fools joke.

But he is out of contract with Catalans is he not?

The Dureau rumor started before April Fools day. Not for a minute do I believe it'll become true though.



As for Ferres I don't wish Wigan to sign him. We're OK in the backrow and certainly don't need another makeshift backrow to centre.

Brett Ferres is a decent player. I've always rated him and though he don't get recognition due to playing for a lesser team.



Fair enough, he's not. Superstar player but I like him.

I doubt he'd want to switch outfits to Wigoon unless they're throwing silly money at him. He's settled in France, has no serious competition for his place and has a French surname. He's in for the long haul there I reckon.

Ferres is a good player but if we've signed Manu, he's not the type of player we should be looking at. We should be looking at an outside back (Turner?), half back and prop IMO.

Surely you don't need another second rower though? I could understand Manu because he's a step up in class than most 2nd rowers around, but Ferres is just a bit average to target imo. Wouldn't you be better spending your money on a prop?

Yes but we're a much bigger club than the shower at Warrington so he'll jump ship even for a pay cut

Yes he's a young backrow (18yrs old) and he's ripping it up in the u20s. Warrington saying he's the best prospect they had since scully.

Trust me that's something he won't do. However if you offer him the right money he'll consider it, after going back to Warrington first to inform them of your offer of course.

Then he'll come back to Saints and tell you of Wire's new offer.

I hear finch is playing two NRL clubs off against Wigan at the moment.

and the NRL clubs have a much bigger salary cap

From what I'm told, finch will sign for anyone who's willing to pay, no matter what team, what country or what code.



I think he'd might even offer his services to wigans biggest rivals in order to get the deal he wants from Wigan







Anyhow, I think finch truck has worked and he will be at Wigan next year but his loyalty is a fu**ing joke.
