Ratchfords quality though, i'd love him at Wigan with Sam.

Granted, he's an exciting prospect but has the worst core skills of any player currently running around SL. We have some excellent youngsters coming through and Wheeler is Leon's natural successor at 6.

Ratchford is a decent player, but if he can't get into his regular position at Salford, why on earth would you play him there for Saints?

If you could get him cheap enough, i think he would make a decent squad player for a few seasons, and then he would have his chance. He obviously has potential and many have said he's a better prospect than Myler. He can cover a lot of positions and would do a good job in all of them, i'm not sure wether we should sign him or not to be honest, but if we did i could understand why. He's versatile, young and has potential.

I think Ratchford at 6 , Leon at FB if he stays, Wellens to LF was the suggestion above.



Tompkins aside Ratchford is the closest thing to Tommy Marytn currently running around SL as a young prospect.



Leon is in his last year of a contract and is a top earner. Has done very little

for a large part of 2009 , but is on fire currently. Could see him stay or go.

Think he really suited FB while he was there.
