I think this offers the young man a real opportunity to turn a corner in his career, theres a saying about not standing on people on the way up as you invariably meet them again on the way down. I've not much faith in his advisors but just maybe they can get this one right and put this 'cpmeback' into perspective on how important it is in the long term. It would be great for him to produce a match winning performance but I think he just needs to be committed to the team as a start - I'd settle for that for now.

This may shock a few but just because Rogues is a Wigan fan doesn't make many points that he has made less Valid.



I know for 100% Fact that many of the academy players he played with said that he couldn't handle the hard knocks and went off the field if a game got hard.

if you don't want eastmond playing for you, do you have any young half backs, or Wilkin...he plays well in that role...esp against us...being a Hull KR fan and all that.

I think our ginger haired captain should put an arm round Kyle's shoulder and explain to him that whatever the Hull forwards may do to him he'll do even worse if he doesn't perform.

Alas, we've got through five halfbacks already! All but one (Pryce) could be classed as 'young' since none is over 21! However, there are one or two possibilities from the Academy that we may see on Monday. Or not!



Wilkin is terrible at halfback. Much better at loose.

We're not saying it's because he is a Wigan fan (although that usually is a precurser to invalid points, it has to be said). It's because he is Rogues.

it maybe 13 i've seen wilkin play then. it's ashame when you lose so many through injuries. know exactly the feeling, over past 2-3 years we've been killed by them aswell.



lomax and gaskell have looked good (from what i've seen of them) this season. saints are really churning the young players out still.

If you throw Moore in the mix we have 6 halfbacks out injured. Pryce, Eastmond, Lomax, gaskell, wheeler. Thats the way sporting life are reporting it.

Rogues comes on here at times to wind up the more sensitive of Saints Fans who always seem to bite, but also to have Rugby Debate a large amount of the time and even when doing this people go straight on the defensive.



As I've said in this instance Wigan Fan or not. I know that people who played in the same team as him held the aforementioned view.

Mistakes........... We all make them, we have all done things in our lives that we are not proud of or we wish we could turn back time.



I firmly believe that we should NOT give Kyle another more grief....



Maybe he made a few mistakes with his judgements and I have to admit he was playing poorly at the time he fell out of favour with us all. However Saints are in a serious injury crisis now and we really do need him.



Life is strange - but for the injuries to Lomax, Gaskell and Wheeler, Mr Eastmond may never have gotten a chance to redeem himself, but he may well be given that chance now.



Mr Eastmond, I plead to you.... Show us what a good player you are (and he certainly has the natural ability at times) Please take this chance to change things round and change many fans views. Mistakes are made in life, but the sign of a real man is when you can learn from them, mistakes and misfortune often help mould a person / player into a better and a stronger man in the future... Take this opportunity Kyle, this is your chance and I hope to god you can take it.



As for us lot, the fans, I think if Mr Eastmond should be given this opportunity, we should fully support him, I am sure we can all improve this situation together... I am making a line in the sand here and I am firmly going to stand behind Kyle if he gets a chance to redeem things.

To be honest, I hope Kyle comes in on Monday and rips it up and carries on with the that form for the rest of the year. Yes he's got a massive ego, yes he's gone for the money ( I don't blame him), yes he's showed lack of respect for saints and the fans but if he helps us do well this then I'm happy.



I don't like the little $hit but nobody can say he's not a talent. Pure speed causes defence problems and this kid had pace and explosive power to burn.



He's only done the same as the great jammer but gone about it in very bad way. Maybe jammer has got better people around him than Kyle. Maybe it's the fact jammer is more mature and 5 years older with greater experience than Kyle.



One things for sure if he helps us win something I'll be happy then wish him on his way.

As you say Jammer has done what he felt he needed to do to challenge himself but he's done it the right way and I dont think anyone can doubt his commitment to the cause. Thats the thing for me , even if Ea$tmond dosent light up the world for the next 6 months as long as he is 100% committed I'd be satisfied. Saying that I still wouldn't have him as starting halfback when Lomax and Pryce are fit but if he shows he can be bothered he would be excellent cover for 1-7 and he could handy as the 'bench back' Royce likes to use

I agree with this, with the pace he has tired defences won't be able to handle him. As long as he puts in 100% commitment and effort Eastmond is a great player and if he steps up I will be wishing him all the best at the end of the year.

Like it or not, there are people who come on here from other clubs who will have differing opinions, some of them will troll some of them will be here to debate. Rogues for one I'm told (By People who I have no reason to doubt) loves to debate Rugby League with anyone and so will come on here to do that. At times to troll yes, but quite often not so. The sooner people like you realise that our fans opinion isn't always right, the better.
