I think we could do with a really good or really promising centre and have Dawson Jones on the wing. Crying shame we couldn't capture that Scott really.

Joe Brown did well last week

Can pretty much scratch Waite-Pullan & Berry from the squad as they've both just played for the reserves this afternoon.

I'd reward Gallagher, Scurr and Foster for a good pre-season. Also think Brown went well at Centre and with Dawson-Jones being a good winger I think this would be the best way to line-up.

Shame we couldn’t get something out of this game as I thought we were the better side. Questions about the ref not giving a penalty try at the end of the 1st half but if we can put in that sort of effort and commitment every week then I think we’re on to win more than we lose

Good effort. Just need to cut out some of the unforced errors. Baffled by the referee at least not sin-binning a London player for holding Dawson-Jones back.



Why oh why have we got Lilley as goal-kicker though. We saw last season how it can cost us. He's not good enough for it. Milnes is a much better goal kicker.



Need another improvement next week for what will be a tough game against a fired up York.

What a great performance to start the season off. I said before the game to my cousin that if we kept London below 30/40 and scored one or two I’d be happy. But to lose by only 4 and goal kicking letting us down I’m very happy indeed. Gallagher threw himself about a bit! Hallas and England put in a good shift! And Dawson-Jones finished well! What a game Pickersgill had! Great defensively, saved at least 3 tries and what a ball to put Dawson-Jones through for his 2nd!

Yeah pretty happy with that performance against a good london side. First half wasn’t great and we let ourselves down defensively but much improved second half took us to within goal kicks of getting a result.



Very strange decision towards the end of the first half first with Dixon knocking on and the ref giving a penalty to London. They fail to find touch and in the following set MDJ is clearly pulled back a few times preventing him scoring. Other than that I don’t think we could complain about 50/50 calls from the ref. Heard a few saying Krasniqi threw a punch at hallas but I didn’t see it.



I like hallas for his work rate and heart but Doyle gives us so much more in attack. Maybe needs to be brought on sooner.



Either way, decent enough performance and a shame to come close and get nothing. Hopefully play like that consistently and we will be ok this year.
