A wire fan talking sense

We still do that for everyone including home fans. Those fans who buy their tickets from the own ticket office prior to a game at the Galpharm pay less than the walk up home fans.

I remember quite a few clubs raised their prices in the away end in the late 90s when we rolled into town - Fax certainly did and a couple of others too (Cas?).



Can you imagine what would have been said had the internet been more prominant back then? I imagine something akin to last night's outburst from some of the Wire faithful.

Which in the OP's world was probably illegal, the way he dared to subsidise the coach travel of Warrington fans and yet he didn't give me any brass towards my petrol. Disgrace I tell thee!

Ah I didn't realise you could buy them from your own ticket office for cheaper nowadays. I'm sure when they originally started doing it, you had to buy them from the Galpharm to get them cheaper, but any fans could buy them there (as I remember asking a pal who was passing to pop in and get me my tickets while he was there, to save me a few quid).



Just to clarify, I wasn't suggesting they were doing anything wrong, just using it as an example of how other clubs have done similar "offers" so that Mr. Illegal in the first post could see it wasn't exactly something new.

What about when our Warrington friend hears about these things they call 'season tickets'? Buying all your match tickets before the season at at reduced price - I hear most clubs do them. He'll be dropping off his perch!
