Not really a good pre-season for York overall.

Looks like only one red card from the match highlights. Second card is definitely a yellow.

Also for some reason the match 'highlights' don't show any of the biff! What a ripoff!

For games involving only Championship and/or L1 clubs the disciplinary hearing is normally on the Thursday following the weekend (Tuesdays for games involving one or more SL clubs and I'm pretty sure that's been the case for friendlies so far this year too) with any suspensions starting the next but one weekend ie it'll be R2 for any banned from the weekend just gone.

Sounds like we’ve learnt the trick Leigh used a while ago where we don’t supply the video footage. I assume sending off will be sufficient but Robinson not being available to play against us in round 2 would certainly help our chances of an upset.

Having seen the replay that's just ridculous from Robinson. The strike on the ground was unsavoury IMO then to throw a punch in a meaningless game. Bonkers.



I'd be surprised if he avoids a ban (having said that they tend not to hand out bans for friendlies as I seem to remember us and Keighley didn't get anyone banned for the 3 all in brawls from a friendly)

You have to ban someone for persistent, continued violence: who first of all knees the head of a player on the ground, then hits him twice to the head when he is held by two players. You can see Elliot is trying to get away, he wants nothing to do with it. Its a basic duty of care to the players to punish such action as a deterrence. its not a quick pop/handbags at 100 yards job. But it is the RFL, and the Bulls are to blame for everything, so expect Elliot to get a five year ban and we play with 12 players for that period.

You've forgotten that the friendly was also our 'home' game and the leccy didn't work, so we're surely due for a 12 month ground closure as punishment. Only closed on our weeks of course.

Confirmed that Connor Robinson has copped a 1 match ban for it, which will be served for the Bradford game. What an idiot.

Also in the Disciplinary news, Dane Chisholm has copped a 3 match ban for the lift he was sin binned for in a friendly. Makes Robinson look almost sensible. Not that it'll make much difference for Fev, I expect they'll bring in Callum McLelland or Richie Myler on Dual Reg to cover it.
