I guess you could argue that platt has moved positions but that's not exactly dropping him, sometimes I think he's singled out unfairly and there's more who deserve an enforced rest.

I like Macca, but he is making himself sound stupid by repeating this mantra, or saying he would drop players if there were ones to replace them. Apart from Platt/Halley scapegoats he is yet to show any gonads whatsoever.

Yeah, so he'd drop players if he had players to replace them with. However, when asked at the start of the year "are you happy with the squad depth" his answer was a resounding yes. Can't have it both ways

He could have said something like, I'm not completely happy but I think we can work with what we've got and we'll definitely be looking if a player with the qualities we are looking for becomes available.

I think we`d all worked that out when Greg Bird was signed. I`m pretty sure the players would also have got the message.

Jimmy Lowes is in charge of the Wire side because Tony Smith is off with England.

Macca isn't going, Kris Radlinski has gone over with Tony Smith. However McNamara is still the assistant coach I believe.
