Isn't the 12 point deduction meant to be the price tag the new club has to pay for the "privilege" of starting life in the Championship rather than C1? It would make sense if starting in the Champioship could be viewed as being advantageous and not an additional punishment.

It could in theory be that, but in this particular case the RFL pre-announced that ANYBODY wanting to apply to operate a Bradford team WOULD be in the Championship and would be on -12.



Obviously it would be a huge advantage to aminted onwer who would take the division by storm, and it could also be an utter disaster for, er, owners like we were ever likely to get.
