Quote ="jools"sorry but no. teams with ambition have tried to grow crowds, they've put plenty of work into marketing a family game on a sunday or a friday night out and sold season tickets on the back of fixture lists that come out in November only for sky to come along and undo all the hard work and leave them with an unworkable mess.
we dont know whether we are playing thursday friday saturday or sunday, the odd monday or wednesday thrown in for good measure, and suddenly a season ticket might not be a great value idea if theres 4 or 5 games you might not be able to make in a season.
would they buy tickets to a gig or the theatre without knowing when the performance was? - no but they expect us to!'"
This! I got 3 games out of my ST this season! A spate of Thursday night games early doors I couldn't attend and then when I had Thursday and Friday available due to my rolling shifts the games were played on a Sunday then a Saturday! £100 a game! BTW I binned off Sky too and got WatchNRL for £130 a year and Premier Sports for £9 a month for my RL fix. WatchNRL is top notch. Every game every weekend available when you want to watch it, Origin games and a range of NRL-related shows. I've enjoyed seeing the Championship games on a Monday too.
