| Shouldn't be that way. Kidley should be fullback. Stewart isn't made for the physicality of Origin, Kidley is made for it, plus he's almost redundant coming off the bench.
It's just like Hunt is better suited against the Kiwis whereas Slater is better suited against the Poms. It's just how it is.

| kidley is the most over rated useless piece of s**t player
does nothing for newcastle and doesnt deserve a spot in the team
hes not fit to tie brett stewarts shoelaces
and if you want a good utility pick craig wing
its no wonder queensland lap nsw every year when nsw pick such dud players

I agree. Stewart is a great club player, but shouldn't play for NSW. You're right on that one.

kidley (great name mate) has had more losses at origin than you can poke a stick at.
now johns and buderus are gone, gidley will be left floundering at newcastle.
Origin player?
let him worry about getting his club to the semis, which appears unlikely.
Kidley, your kidding yourself

Both Stewart and Kidley have played a handful of Origin games, and I bet their win/loss records are similar. However, Kidley has never been the NSW fullback and has only represented from the mostly redundant utility bench spot.
NSW needs a physical fullback that we've been missing since Minichiello. Who knows, Mini might play his way back into the jersey, but that's unlikely now with all his injury worries. It should be Kurt Gidley.

Quite possible, however it wouldn't be because of Kidley.
Fullback isn't the only change we need. For similar reasons, I don't want to see Storm trio Hoffman, Turner and White again. They don't have the physicality.
Yeah, Anasta should be crossed off as well, enough chances already. Not only should Pearce be crossed off for this year at least, but so should just about every other young half (barring super form). Halfback is our weakest position next to prop. With experience needed, the only obvious choice is Orford, who will finally have to be gambled on, in my opinion.

| Carney last year, maybe. Mullen last year, maybe. But not both of them.
And Sutton for the halves? Don't think so.
Hindmarsh I can agree on, his treatment by selectors has been poor. He should be taking Hoffman's place.
Wing has played like 1 game in 10 years, and why would we play him at fullback anyway? If not Kidley, then look at Hayne's form. Even McKinnon.

| To those that think Sutton has had one good game, you forget his excellent form in the City Country match last year only to be overlooked (as so many others were because big names were rested and then played like pansies) .
And the guy has been gradually improving for the last 3 years, culminating in a spot in that City Country match. That 'one good performance' has been brewing for a while and I think there will be many others to come.
For me this is the NSW options, if available.
Fullbacks: Stewart, Gidley, Minichiello, Coote.
Wingers: El Masri, Quinn, Hayne, Merrett, Robertson
Centres: Cooper, Monaghan, Jennings, Delaney, Lawrence
5 Eighths: Sutton, Barratt, Mateo, Gidley, Wing, Anasta
Halfbacks: Orford, Wallace, Pearce, Hornby, Mullen
Locks or 2nd Rowers (and this is where we have too many options): O'Donnell, Tupou, Grub Gallen, Watmough, G Stewart, Fitzgibbon, Mason, Tongue, Laurie, Heighington, Ryan, Laffranchi, M Minichiello, Creagh, Hoffman, Hindmarsh, Simpson.
Hookers: Ennis, Farah.
Props: Bailey, Kite, White, Cuthbertson, O'Meley, Gibbs, Galloway.

Pretty strong looking side. Dunno if it could match Queensland though.

Barrett has played well in the first 2 games for Cronulla so I can see him being there or there abouts
If Campese is eligible for NSW he should get the jumper IMO
Awesome player
