would've preferred catalan to win but once they picked macnamara as coach, they were doomed, taken all the flair out of their game, have the players on paper but play one man rugby, took 65-70 minutes to get near the widnes line! walsh is past his best too!

Widnes should have won by 10+ with the ball and field position they had, played quite conservatively which I suppose is understandable in a game like that.



There's so many weaknesses in that Catalans side for Leigh to go after, edge defence very suspect. More worrying for them is that none of the players even seem bothered, other than Myler.

You should be chuffed with that result, basically secures SL status for Leigh as well as Widnes plus you get to see the demise of the only decent expansion team live next week.

Catalan are definitely capable of winning next week, and also we have lost our last 3 home games to 'full time' opposition. Dragons looked pretty good 1st half, but it was only 4-4 at HT. Hardly a demise for either team after next week's game, it might only be championship rugby for one season, whoever loses.

Maybe we will see Toulouse v Catalan derbies next year afterall :-O
