Quote ="Dropkick Murphy"Yet funnily enough almost every Liverpool and Man City fan I know is convinced United are the media darlings. This of course changes when you speak to United or Everton fans who are convinced Liverpool are the team that Sky adores. By no coincidence whatsoever both Liverpool and Man United fans seem to be convinced in equal measure that they are the ones that are hated the most.
There's absolutely nothing in it, just as there's absolutely nothing in this, other than people seeing what they want to see, blinded by their own loyalties.
The real idiots are the people who pay Rupert Murdoch £25ish a month for a Sky Sports "product" that is freely available online then get worked up about the opinions of those whose wages they are voluntarily helping to pay.'"
I see both sides of it. I see the bizarre over the the top coverage of United and I see the odd things certain commentators hold against us.
I mention Wednesday night. Now I know people who have met, and have challenged Martin Tyler and they've come away convinced that he has no bias against United or for Liverpool. But he clearly had his own agenda on Wednesday and that was the return of Suarez. He was desperate for that to be the the story. Suarez being the hero on his comeback. He always needs that story and it's wrong. He should just comment on the the game he's watching and you can see the same in the Rugby. I'm certain this weeks story will be about Tompkins last game.
