Even though Price's contract extension has already been signed, I wonder if it was penned on the prospect of the club getting Widdop over here ?

A half-back combo of Austin and Widdop would potentially be stunning. I'm already excited about this season, but even moreso about 2020!



A key aspect of both Austin and Widdop's (potential) signing is that they both seem really up for this move and intend to be successful, whereas some others, like Roberts, haven't seemed up for it as they might.

Widdop + Austin > Briers + Myler ?

In fairness I’d say yes,Myler was good alongside Briers. When Briers retired Myler struggled.

So if this becomes official that means Brown’s retirement or off for a swan song at Toronto or back to Widnes, but more importantly it’s casting a big question mark on Patton’s future.

Brown is going to retire at 36 anyway.
