Yes we are a weaker club after tonight because that performance on top of all the recent bad press has probably lost us possible ST purchases. An average season with a GF appearance would have probably been a hell of a lot better for us. The only thing that will get the people of Leigh to come and watch this side is consistant good form. This year (i really hope) is the start of it.

People pay their money and take their choice as far as I'm concerned. Not a fan of booing the team and don't see what it achieves but each to their own on that score - I'd simply say it's a case of people showing their disappointment in different ways. I stayed behind to applaud Sheffield for a terrific performance and in appreciation of what Leigh have achieved this season, but would completely understand anyone who just wanted to get as far away as possible from that stadium after the game tonight - I was exactly the same after the Batley NRC semi last season.





Spot on. We've seen a lot worse than tonight and we will in the future, but if we did any other way then it simply wouldn't be Leigh.

I don't think anyone was booing the boys. People near me were booing and venting there anger at that dick in the middle with the blue shirt on.

Totally disagree about potential ST purchases next season, tonights game would `ve had little bearing on that as opposed to the uncertainty of which clubs will actually participate in the relevant Championships.

Yes it's called sport , the best team doesn't always win , the best paid team doesn't always win , the best coached team doesn't always win , that's why people pay to watch it , otherwise you might as well stay at home and watch videos of your team winning games from the past



No way will I hear anybody say that those players didn't give their all in any game they play , what they gave might not have been good enough on the night , but no way can their effort be questioned , it isn't just effort that wins games , if anybody doesn't understand that , then they don't understand sport in general and RL in particular , no matter how long they say they've been turning up

We had consistent good form between 2000 and 2004 , our attendances dropped , if anybody who is a ST holder decides to not come next season because of 1 game , then they don't deserve to follow RL or the Leigh club

Ok read it again.......IMO we`ve had a very consistent season overall, might not have been the end of season we`d have hoped for but it`s been the best season for a number of years and a joy to watch.

I applaud the players and coaching staff for the memories of the 2011 season and look forward to 2012.

Bytheway I`ll be getting my ST as usual.....It`s alll about being a Leyth fan , it`s not mean`t to be an easy ride.

If you expect the public to feel great about what I've just witnessed on replay then you're unrealistic. This was not the same side we got so excited about



The club had a coach and a captain. They both visibly nailed their colours to castlefords mast before the season end. (club captain wearing cas shirts round town)



I just wish I'd bet on the inevitable results of such public disloyalty.

I agree -that's what I thought.

Two years ago we got 'relegated'.



This season we came 2nd, 1 league defeat all season, played some amazing rugby, and won the NR Cup.



In any other situation that would be called progress.
