| What's wrong with a 3 year deal? Is it not better than getting to end of the season and starting the merry go round again?
Not sure how much they actually know, but as I said on page 1 of this thread, a local in Ealing who has links in the rugby world did talk about ealing and there expansion plans, could be true, could be utter tosh, this was before our involvement was ever mentioned.
If we are going in there with the chance of developing the ground then what's the problem, is this not what everyone has always said we need

Underhill was sold for development so well out of any realistic budget. The council didn't seem to keen on having professional sport there in the form of football so may not have been too keen either.

Because yet again it's a short term deal, and in 3 years time, if we still exist,we will no doubt up sticks and move to an even smaller venue which will be hailed as a great deal and then do the same again. Are we buying in here? Doesn't look like it if it's only 3 years does it? The decline of the club continues apace!

| Mickey its noble of you to remain positive but even you can surely see the decline. Its that bad Steve the comms man removes you from the Broncos Facebook page if you post negatively!! Get Corbyn in I say.
Henry Paul, Scott Hill, Dorny, Marty, Tommy, playing at a state of the art Rugby ground against Melbourne, Warrington, Leeds........ compared to.........
Are you starting to see where most are coming from? Fosters in a can at a BBQ is OK, but cold beer sold in a glass in a nice pub with a great group of friends and music must be better, maybe not hey!!

| So let's all be totally negative about everything then.
I agree it's not ideal far from it, but what are other options at the moment.
The club have to re structure, we are in effect re building from the bottom.
What would I prefer, personally best years for me were Brentford, but it's not to be, it's not a case of being noble, it's a realisation that the club has to cut costs and generate an income. At the hive we have no income at all apart from Mr Hughes. So its 3 years, is that not better than a 2 or 1 year deal?? Would the news we had bought the set up been better of course it would but that's not happened.
The basic point is, you, me, gutters, bronc are not in a position to do anything about it, we don't have the money or influence.
So we can wallow in self pity or we can get on with supporting the club.

| Supporting the club and raising concern, let's even call it debate, on a website are two completely different things, aren't they?

| Of course debate is right, that's freedom, but constant repeating of the same points and attacks seem to get to the point of being vindictive, I said it before on Facebook and there are more posters than now here it does not seem the same, people look at reality.

You're right and that's why there's so much negativity. Most of the last 20 years have become irrelevant to our current position..
If I were a wealthy person wanting to kick-start RL from nothing in West London, then the Trailfinders ground would well worth considering.
OK, we're not quite kick-starting from nothing, we do have a decent squad for the lower levels and some junior development but, as you say: Quote mickyb1234we are in effect re building from the bottom.'"

| One can only live in hope that we have hit the bottom and at least we might start a bounce back up.
Not forgetting all those years ago when it first started it was from nothing then the only way was up .
Are we doomed to lower leagues? Maybe for a couple of years, getting back up is not impossible in the sport widnes and hull KR are recent proof that teams can build and get back into the top flight
Are the super 8s the way ahead? Maybe maybe not but it's what is in place at the moment so let's see
Our club future has to build on a financial basis that allows us to survive when DH pulls his money, I think for us to survive then we have to try and stay full time, hopefully the move to ealing will allow the club to try to build the mythical fan base and generate some income. If and it is a big if at the minute we can re build to a decent level then maybe the ground we are moving to does have potential to develop if not then yep in 3 years it might be another move, it's not as if we are not used to it.

I love your optimism Micky, but I'm afraid I just don't share it.
Think we should have moved to Eastbourne, that's where you go to die so I believe. Or is it Bournemouth?

| Nah we could never have gone to bournmouth that would have made complaining about how to get to the games to easy. I mean tube, mainline train buses and the choice of driving to any ground we play at is too restrictive already.
Folks am joking

| You never know, so far Trailfinders has gone from a park rugger side with a decent social set up, to the beginnings of a stadium and an expanded corperate /social area, with room to continue the developement. We MAY have the opportunity to grow alongside that, we may not.

| I look at it like this. We are probably at our lowest point. From here on, we will either fail, or things will improve.
The support of the owners of the stadium is critical. The management needs to grab a hold of the business and run things properly. They need to start to market he club.
It needs to be a club again. At a ground which feels like home. Not a team with a few supporters at a ground where little effort is made to make you feel welcome.
Only time will tell.

More twaddle.
You forgot option 3: Give it up and start doing something useful with the summer weekends. I like option 3.

| Aspuoea feel free to toddle off and do that then mate, some of us actually like watching rugby league so personally can't see the appeal of option 3.
Not sure if you realise it's your choice to watch or not.

| Interesting that Trailfinders have a number of secondary pitches which may well meet our needs if we continue to attract fewer fans than Championship 1 clubs.

| Aspuoea, your option three is no option for me. Like Mickey I too enjoy watching Rugby League. It is my choice and I will continue to do so until such time as I decide not to..
So you go and join The Ramblers Association or get a caravan if you want to. I will continue to do what I choose to do.

| Slightly OT, sorry, but interesting that 100 miles or so to the west, one of our many former CEOs is still showing plenty of ambition:
LionelHurst @hurstlhurst 17h17 hours ago
#rugbyleague @allgolds wish to purchase up to 20 acres of land in Gloucestershire to develop RL home. Funds available.
