What I find so strange about this is that Wigan mention that O'Loughlin,Tuson and Hanson will be missing through injury but there is no mention of Sam Tomkins. It is has if he has disappeared of the face of the planet.
Wane did say in an interview I read (not sure where now) that he was using other options in pre-season to prepare for Sam's inevitable exit. Not sure it'll make too much difference to how he performs anyway.

cant see but wire wining this one, hope i am wrong,
I applaud Wane for giving Murphy game time but surely he could hae brought him off the bench rather than giving Sam no preseason. I wonder if his knee is still a concern?
1- We'll probably take a bit of a beating tomorrow. Wire look at full strength whereas we're missing 4 or 5 players.
2- Wires squad has so much more depth then ours and highlights a massive weakness in our squad. Pre Lenagan we used to go in to seasons with a decent 17 but with no back up after that other then from youngsters. We had fixed that up in recent times but it looks to have gone to pot with these departures.
The club has to keep an eye out for a couple of signings IMO or we run the risk of over burdening too many youngsters too soon.

I have only just realised what you meant with the bike and mountain statement, I had to watch the video twice as well to realise he was in Mallorca.
