I,ll try the Ray Martland question on the lads. It's a tough one that.

Bilko - Can i ask what actually drives you to do this?



Is is more regarding the need to complete a statistical history of Wigan, the club you follow?



Or are you more interested in the actual numerical compilation and have a general love of numbers?



Or a bit of both?

I dunno. I just started doing stuff in 2002 and it just built from that.

Martland was slower than Paul Wellens running in quicksand.

He'd still beat you to the bar to get a round in Brian.

The slowest player I ever laid eyes on was Ronnie Mather,he once intercepted 5 yards out from the try line. One of the opposition players got up off the floor and tackled him a yard short.





But it is said that after training on Thursdays the Secretary used to shout "come and get your pay packets" Ronnie was always first in the queue.
