Griffin is a good player from what i have seen and would be a good addition to our prop department. We need two battle hardened props in the team every week imo so with Coley leaving he would be a good replacement.

Possibly because at the time he wasnt.



He is a player who has come on leaps and bounds this season. At the time we were really lacking in the forwards and the Lima signing was just a rummor.



We dont need a world class forward atm, just a grafter who likes the hard work. Griffin now fits that mold.

Surely centres are the focus, not another prop.

It depends what the situation is with JT, do they think he will stay at centre. Apparently we are chasing King according to a few on here. I would be happy to go into next season with King and JT at centre.

In an ideal world King comes in to replace Gleeson and Carmont decides to stay but I can't see it. If we do go into next year with Joel at centre I'm happy enough but a move back to the pack would offset the loss of Hoffman.



An interesting off season is in store.

He's never a centre in a millions years imo

He's only played there for 2 months, and he's done a damn sight better than some we've had there.

In our SL grand final team we had two quality centres in Gleeson and Carmont, the position is underrated in terms of how important it is to the team in attack and defense.

Next season we potentially could have a SR convert and Marsh/Goulding, we've fallen backward in such a key area, it's something that surely must be the priority.



I'd like to see King at Wigan in the centres with another new centre allowing JT to move back to the SR. I've mentioned who I'd also like at Wigan in the other centre spot if Carmont is to retire.

No, but I've been there every other week since the friendlies, and for someone who had never played Centre before, he's doing a better job than I expected him too.



One bad/good performance doesn't mean that's that for a player.

I don't think I underate the position.



I just trust that JT can step up and become a class centre to replace Gleeson. We do need a top replacement for Carmont though.

Hes not had one bad performance. Hes had a few there. Over runs his winger far to much. Hes playing second rower in a centre position just moved over a man.

No way in a million years should Joel be Wigan's centre next year.



In fact I'd go as far as saying I'd put lockers at Centre this year and get Joel in at 13 popping up all over the pitch.

Defence wise he is fine. In attack, however, is where he really seems to struggle. Anyhow, given that he has been put in at centre, he is doing a decent job.

He attracts defenders and the rest will come with time. He will cause a lot of teams problems at centre.

I'd prefer to recruit a specialist but Joel with an off season of work would be the best option we have.

When will he cause these problems? As far as I can see defences have got him easily sussed and after 2 months in the centre position he is not getting any better, in fact he now seems worse as teams know what to expect from him.

Don't get me wrong I appreciate how tough Joel has got it at the moment BUT I can't see him being a top centre. His passing is off and his option picking is shocking.



I don't think Lockers would be an amazing centre but I do think he'd create more room for his wing man and his passing is top notch also.



Did he not play there for England a few years ago?
