I noticed it during the game.



It was basically a crusher tackle, however as others have pointed out the Catalans player turned and backed into him.



I’m all for outlawing such tackles however the ball carrier has to carry some weight of responsibility for their own protection. The burden cannot all be on the defender if an attacking player is will fully putting themselves in a precarious position in order to get a competitive advantage, trying to offload in this case.

The club have said they will appeal the decision. Good for them.

I hope their appeal is successful.
