| Quote Orrell Lad="Orrell Lad"We played Saints 4 times, Leeds 4 times, Wire twice. That's 10 games for a start I got a buzz before. Certainly when the games kicked off, there was no shortage of passion or desire to win.
It is a spectator sport, it doesn't always have to 'mean' something - what about Widnes fans? Do they not enjoy the game because they know they can't win SL?'"
I got a buzz too - but you'd get a bigger buzz if the result impacted the entire season. Widnes games should matter because A. they want to avoid relegation and B. because that want to improve all the time to be involved in top of the table games and fight for championships.
Did you not think last season was the worst spectacle since SL began? Do you not think its more than a coincidence that it came immediately after Leeds won GF from 5th?
Fans aren't buzzing about reg season games and neither are the players so it was bound to happen. You can't expect to send players out on the pitch top get their bodies smashed, their bones broken and their teeth knocked out when it doesn't matter in the final reckoning?
Anyway i've done this subject to death before. Reduce number of teams in SL to 12, reduce number of teams in playoffs to 4 or 5 and introduce a P&R playoff between bottom team in SL and top team in Championship and it would improve the regular season no end, improve intensity and get more fans through the gates.

And then you would find something else to moan about! Wigan played some great rugby last year and finished top which is a terrific achievement despite what some people say. Ok we didn't win the CC or GF but if you classed winning those as the only measure of a good season then there would only be one or two teams feeling satisfied. A successful sport needs all the teams to feel some sense of satisfaction and enjoyment with the one or teams having the extra satisfaction of winning a trophy.

The rugby I watched from about April to July last season was some of the best rugby i've ever seen Wigan play and that includes the 1987 team and the era from 90-95.
IMO Wigan's 2012 team was our best team of the SL era, beating 1998, 2000 or 2010.
I've said before to mates that even though the GF is the big one, i wouldn't swap the season we had last year for the season Leeds had even though they ended up champs, and if offered it this season, i would take it again over the inconsistent season the Rhinos had.

That still gives them 8/9 working days before they need posting to arrive by Salford.
You could of course always go to the ticket office where they will have it on record you have one and get a ticket once they go on sale without it being sent out so really they still have until the Wire game.

If you are getting a child's ticket using a voucher you need to have the voucher and the book it comes in as it has a unique code in it that the ticket office need to see and record. Otherwise they don't let you redeem the voucher to get the free ticket the child is entitled to. That's why some people want to have the tickets (and vouchers) now rather than on the eve of the Wire game.

| And so you think they would refuse you a ticket despite seeing you have a ST?
BTW, the code is your client code. That's all they need which is of course on file. Confirm your details and you'll get one no problem at all. I know, i've done it.

I've been refused a free child's ticket and had to go home to get the booklet before I was able to get the child's ticket despite having my ST, the child's ST and the voucher that I had removed from the booklet. I may have been unlucky/ you may have been lucky with the person at the ticket office. Not having everything can cause problems and the other poster may have had the same problem as I have had.

correct, they need to remove the voucher so it cant be used twice.
We are now DAYS away from the Salford game, still no Season ticket/ away vouchers. I have 3 kids mithering me to book the coach, but no way am i until i see the away vouchers/tickets. I dont want to end up in a situation where i fork out £40+ for the coach, then end up either running around trying to sort out tickets, or end up paying for what should be free.
The simplest way out is not bothering going, so thats 4 fans less possibly.
Well done club, your playing a blinder
