That’s unfortunately where we stand with the NRL, it’s probably a sign of lack of ambition to not want to go to the NRL, I fear Havard and Smithies will end up there in the next few years.

Recruitment wise I hope we sign a big boned experienced Ozzie second rower, Fitzgibbon would have been a good signing but he’s going Warrington, likely too much to ask to want a half or another centre, think we will run with French and Keighran with Astley and Eckersley as back ups. If we can get really good go forward I think French could be good in the halves.

Can they throw Croft in as well? If it is true that he has a release clause of £78k we should be all over it.

If that were true, I think we could raise that with a bucket collection on Saturday!

I believe that is an NRL club release clause and not one that SL clubs can activate.
