I'd be very surprised if he became a Wigan player. If you contrast the Hastings we know as Salford fans, with the way that Hastings is with Wigan and their fans, it's like night and day. He literally couldn't do enough for fans in real life and on social media. His silence is deafening. There is something afoot.



As to what happens next, I have no idea, but if I was a betting man I wouldn't be putting money on him playing for Wigan.

I think it’s that difference in attitude that gives people the fear that he’s not coming. In saying that I doubt he was making pals with Salford fans and going out of his way to respond to Salford fans before he played for them either. He also seems to have knocked Twitter on the head, so he’s not really conversing with anyone, other than via the odd Instagram picture or comment.

Jackson now appears to have put a link to his management company on his Instagram page in his bio

He might of been offered a deal but he’s coming back to the UK deffo, his girlfriend has confirmed it and he’s told me so himself through Instagram, didn’t say anything else though unfortunately

Good news. Whatever the issue is lets hope it can all be resolved and Jackson can find his feet and enjoy his time at Wigan. He's certainly what we need to be a genuine challenger in 2020.

Agreed, his recent Instagram story is interesting as well, a quote about embracing pressure and walking towards it and that not facing it can hinder you. Could potentially be a good sign for Wigan

I reckon he just 'playing the media' and not saying anything as in confirming or denying the rumour. He'll just suddenly turn up for training....

Definitely looks to be coming back to superleague to play, so we now need to hope it’s for us and that we’re not selling him before he’s even turned out for us.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news guys but i was told this 2 weeks ago from a Salford player. Apparently Hastings was in touch with Watson saying he didn't want to go but was told 'Salford can't afford you any more'



Saw Tommy Leuluai on Saturday night in the brocket before this was public knowledge, he told me it was rubbish.



Something isn't right, that's my gut feeling.

But again - that's nothing new. It was clear he had a deep affinity with Salford and wouldn't have gone if they could have paid him what he was worth. At the time he probably also thought he had a far better chance of winning a trophy at Wigan than he did at Salford. Probably still true to be fair, despite Salford getting to the final last season.

He's going to rack up some air miles playing for Salford, Canterbury and Toronto all at the same time. No wonder he's having a break!

Wouldn’t surprise people in the slightest. I didn’t read too much on to him wearing a Toronto cap as he’s been training with Blake Wallace by the looks of things and I presumed they’re mates but who knows. As long as he comes to superleague the club won’t be in a bad spot really. If Toronto want him then £700,000-£800,000 should cover it. Well if Hull wanted £500,000 for Connor he must be worth more.

Toronto already have two marquee players.

Sure they could find a way round it if they so desired but that looks to be the case. I’m pretty confident he’ll end up playing for us and whilst this fuss may have been none of his doing, there must be something in it and he’s done nothing to dampen it. It’ll all come out in the wash I suppose.
