I dont think Hocks discipline is that bad. Cant remember many high shots from him, or the last time he was in a fight.

Lauititi will give you the odd great play, but in terms of hard yards and collisions he is miles away from Hock. Hock is far quicker in defence I feel.



JP is a prop, he may play in the second row, but still plays as a prop.

You quote two GF winning coaches as picking Ablett as a reason why he is better, yet when one of these coaches had the choice between your back rowers and ours at International level, he chose ours..and that includes JJB. Hock was great for you against bradford but as yet he's to prove his worth over a full season IF he could do that and keep his head straight then you would have a debateable point re-him v ali and jjb.

I think Hock had/has the potential but not the consistency or temprement.

Maybe this season he will prove any doubter's wrong but 4 games into the season i'd still take Ali and Jjb over him any day of the week.
