really really frustrating game i thought . way too many errors and stupid penalties

Poor performance again today, not got the 6 7+9 right was badly missing Carmont + Gleeson!! we need a top class centre urgently Mr Lenegan

Our preformance today did leave me slightly concerned, Saints, Wire, Leeds, Hudds and possibly a few otheres could have had us today playing like that



Fair credit to Bradford though - best Ive seen them play this year

On the plus side, we scored two of the best tries we've scored this year in Sam's try and Richards' 2nd.

In addition, thought Finchy did well to trap the ball and run 60+ metres with ease!

I was surprised Briggs didn't catch him. Nice to see from a Wigan point of view that Finch does have a fair amount of pace.



Another point from last night for me. Would be those concerned about us lacking in direction and cool head when Deacon retires, don't be. Finch is slowly but surely showing he can take over that role when needed.

He is. Wouldn't have given him MOM, but he was much improved, yet again.

You only need to look at Feka and Lima's respective work stats to see that this isn't a valid argument.



Lima's no barn-stormer, but he's a good worker. Feka wasn't, which is why Maguire hardly ever picked him.

I still don't know what that penalty was for, didn't see anything wrong either at the time or later on the TV coverage...and he was binned because we were on a team warning for everyone else's penalties conceded. Other players gave away as many, if not more.



I can't be bothered looking up the stats, but I'd be prepared to bet he's not our worst offender in that regard.

I think the injury to Tomkins really affected us yesterday. We lost a lot of our attacking threat and for me Richards showed once again that he just isnt an effective attacking full back. There were many times we had overlaps and the ball just stopped once it got to Richards coming into the line. Tomkins injury also forced Goulding onto the wing, who was playing well at centre, and Hoffman into the centre, a great second row but never a centre, and this again blunted our attack as the ball just stopped once it got to him. The fact that we basically had another second row in the other centre didnt help either.
