Re:Hock, my main concern is I don't see the same fight in him. Seems to have 'mellowed'. One of Hocks strengths was his hard hitting angry attitude which I personally love to see in certain forwards.



Maybe its fitness or maybe the last 2 years have made him more, dare I say it-sensible?

I don't think Hock was ever going to come back into the team and be the same player he was 2years ago. Since his ban Wigan have improved dramatically in all areas, from the coaching setup to the style of play and I would imagine it'll take time for him to fully adapt. Watching the Hull game on Friday, you can tell he isn't up to speed, I don't think it's through lack of trying but as others have said it's his match fitness. I know the only way he's going to improve is to play regularly in the 1st team, but could he be a bit of a liability going into the business end of the season? To be fair though, Hock has always in my opinion been one of those frustrating players, he can be a superstar one week and then shocking the next, and that's been apparant in the few games I've seen him play this season, I suppose only time will tell!!
