He is for sure an outstanding talent but how he left us has left a particularly bad taste.

Even if we could get him back I suspect that our 2024 cap is already spoken for with the announcements already made and hopefully a few more still to be announced.

If Nicholson wanted back I don't think there should be any vendetta from the fans or Wigan preventing it happening at some stage. It felt at the time like a rash decision from an impatient young player but he was entitled to make it. The problem is he's now contractually committed to Warrington for 3-4 years, I'd be amazed if Wigan would pay a transfer fee for him and Warrington are hardly in a position where they can simply hold the door open for him.

Wire also offered him first team spot which he got immediately compared to Wigan. Adam Keighran to join Warriors from 2024.

27-year-old signs two-year deal with the Club.

Keighran: “I’m eager to continue learning and improving my game under the staff at Wigan.”

Wigan Warriors are delighted to announce that Adam Keighran has signed a two-year deal with the club from the 2024 season.

The 26-year-old, who has played at centre, stand-off and hooker, will join the Warriors after the completion of the current season with the Catalans Dragons.



He began his career at Penrith Panthers playing in the New South Wales Cup where he was picked as one of two centres of the year, before making his first grade debut for the New Zealand Warriors in Round One of the 2019 season.



He then had two seasons at the Sydney Roosters making 17 NRL appearances before joining the Catalans Dragon for the 2023 season.



Adam Keighran said: “My family and I are looking forward to the next 2 years at Wigan.



“I’m eager to continue learning and improving my game under the staff there, learn the history of the Club and hoping to add to the success the Club already has.”

Just need to find that 30yr old 50mins a game !@$%house prop now and we're well set

Well Keighran replaces Cust - that leaves two overseas spots assuming Mago and Isa move on. Great work Wigan thus far - if we can get a powerful prop and second rower then we're all set.
