I hope so i really do, but again we have showed these tools in the past on many many occasions but failed to do this, lets hope this is not the case after today.
I fully expect a big performance next week the proof of this will be in the weeks after the Leeds game.

Agreed, we need to show up against Leeds, we might not win, but we need to be in the wrestle in the latter part of the game.
Coming out of the Leeds game and the performances which follow are important.

| Quote thepriestman85="thepriestman85"Shame it’s either black or white with the pro Noble brigade isn’t it. How dare anyone pick faults in either his tactics or team selection.
We are still on three loses and two wins which for the teams we've played against isn't good enough. The team is getting better which is a massive positive but it's still not all hunky dory as some fans seem would have you believe.
I'll be the first one to hold my hand and say Noble has taken us to the next level when we put a good run together as we haven't done this under BN yet.
Noble was forced to play Ainscough and Tomkins. Anyone who doesn't believe it only has 2 look at his selections for the first game of the season to see what Noble's starting team when all on 'form' is.'"
Typical blinkered view. If he was forced to play them surely he would of dropped them both tonight in favour of Smith and Pryce/Mathers? Based on your theory of course.
He played them partly because of injuries and mostly because they deserve thier shot, they kept their places because they played well and are showing that they are SL players.
This argument is becoming pathetic regarding Noble.

Was he "forced" to drop Smith too?
I presume he was "forced" to adopt the tactics he did too?
I am all for debate, in fact the more the merrier, but posts like that invide ridicule.

| Quote jonh="jonh"Just a question have we been here before regards 1 off performances?
Did the tactics employed tonight highlight exactly what the Noble doubters have been calling for?
The stupidity of claiming Noble is suddenly a great coach after 1 good performance in the face of 4 poor ones blows my mind.
As i said i am happy to offer praise tonight as he deserves it given that performance, just as other performances have deserved criticism.
As i said earlier the people who seem to accuse me of having an inflated ego and agendas certainly seem to be trying to plump there own tonight.'"
Jonh,your changing the subject.
You have told us how Brian Noble is a poor coach with a very limited 5 drives and a kick gameplan for the past 2/3 years. You have also told us all his previous achievements were down to pure luck (LOL). You have also commented on his inability to evolve with the game. Basically you pointed out that he is not capable of coaching a team to play fast and expansive game like Wigan did tonight.
No one is trying to 'plump there own ego',we are simply giving Brian Noble the credit he deserves (after all we are fans of his and believe he is a quality proven coach) , he has taken one hell of a battering by most people and your posts have certainly swayed the majority to jump on the anti-Noble bandwagon. You have had your say on the matter for years week after week. Rarely has a day gone by you have not mentioned Nobles inability to play anything but basic 5 drives and a kick and pointed out you could do better. I think its only fair that we conclude that he has proven you wrong.
Hopefully now the players will put the same effort in every week and we will get some consistancy going and give ourselves a better chance of reaching the GF this year.

Have i not given him the credibility he deserves tonight and at other times in the past? When a performance deserves it then it is obvious we should credit him, just as when his performances have been poor he should be criticised.
The only thing i see here is me with a balanced view glad to praise when it is deserving and also criticise and a group of others who think he is beyond criticism regardless of how we play but hail him as a genius when we do perform.
In real terms tonight was a "blip" an anomoly, something we have seen in the past, the proof of the pudding is in the next few months and hopefully years he is at Wigan, if he is able to consistently produce a team capable of performing like this, something he has failed yet to do.

He was forced to drop Smith due to his garbage defence, this was exposed on several occasions but it took a suspension to our bench hooker for him to get his chance.
He clearly was forced to adopt these tactics as if he had continued with his previous tactics he would be closer to being out of a job than he currently is now.

Ha ha.
I guess Ainscough got his chance due to his performances in the pre season did he? Or was it cause Richards & Phelps were injured, Mathers was suspended and Pryce isn't right yet? At the start of the season Ainscough was our fifth choice winger! He's twice the player Phelps is but Noble didn't want to play him till he was forced 2!
Sam was again given his chance out of fate not by some great plan of Noble's. Mcilorum was suspended and we needed a substitute hooker/6.
Those are the facts mate and i sorry that your head is so far up Nobles booty you can’t see them.
It’s impossible to have a debate if the other person doesn’t want to even look at the possibility that Noble isn’t actually God’s gift to Wigan RL.

| I can't believe some people can't give credit when it's due. Most young players only get there chance through injury or suspension to other players, it's what they do with that chance what matters. Fortunatelybthey took their chances and as bobby said he would he has picked players on form and not reputation.

Keep it up! Funniest posts I have heard in ages. Would you like any more rope to hang yourself?
He was "forced" to drop Smith?
He was "forced" to adopt tactics eh?
He didn't "choose" to adopt them?
Who exactly was "forcing" him?

Dont bother mate, these guys are too proud to admit being wrong despite Noble tonight basically sticking 2 fingers up at them. Fair play to Jonh he has sort of and i mean sort of admitted he was wrong by giving Noble credit for tonight expansive gameplan.
Thats all that i will say on the matter as im off out now glad in the knowledge that Noble has proven his doubters wrong and inside they know that all too well hence the need to cling onto the consistancy issue which seems to suddenly become something you can coach into a team
