| Sarginson is a decent player who I think will surprise a few in the NRL ala Josh Hodgson but on his Wigan form he won't be irreplaceable. The point being though that he needs replacing! And that goes for Charnkey as well if he goes. We can't simply just say 'we'll promote' from within because unlike last year when Burgess went there isn't a Manfredi waiting in the wings.

If that happens Wigan will be a little bit closer to Sean Wane achieving his ultimate dream of a team full of forwards.

| Konrad Hurrell please. Out of favour in the NRL would kill it in SL, would put bums on seats and I don't think is unrealistic.

| No issues with that, I think Gildart and Gelling are both ahead of him anyway. We could do with a squad centre to cover injuries though, sort of like Sarginson when he first came. Otherwise we're weakening the pack by putting Bateman there when injuries strike

| The Sarginson situation is a funny one for me. I have been told directly and indirectly by 2 different people connected to the club that he was off to Bath. His injury maybe the reason why this fell through however, I was told by the person connected to the club that Bath were prepared to wait as I believe he is OOC at the end of the season?
If he put more effort into developing core skills than his blaming team mates when he makes mistakes (watch any instance on video he is a permanent denier of fault) and cleared up his antics he might be a better player.
He promises a lot but delivers very very little and probably never will until he has personality transplant or someone finally gives him a straightener which is what I expected from SW.

Suprised to hear that, he's not a world beater but always struck me as a good professional who works really hard. Can't remember hearing of any 'antics' but of course sometimes we don't

I've never heard about any antics either. For me, it's the fact that we seem to hear a lot more about his plans to move on than we do any plans he may have to improve his performances to an acceptable level.
Dave O was right about Sarge some time ago. While there's no doubting his physical prowess, the guy's a complete headless chicken. He hasn't got a rugby brain at all. The number of overlap opportunities he's missed. Unless he shows some sea-change in form for the whole rest of this season - and to be honest, I don't think you can coach what Sarginson lacks - I won't be remotely sorry to see him leave.

To be fair though, it's not been him talking about plans to move, it's other people, and they were wrong because they all kept linking him to Bath. Agreed with regards to his rugby brain, it's a shame because his speed, agility and workrate are good. However, unbelievably he's still only 22, so plenty time to develop that over the next decade or so of his career.
