I agree, more lazy than shambolic, but improvements do need to be made. For example, we are now more or less into the official season, but the club website is still showing the last years player profiles for the Under 19 (now Under 18's), Under 16's and Womens teams.



You would think that with all the administration staff employed by the club, the website could be kept more up to date, especially, when some shown on the website, both in administration and the playing side have left the club and newcomers are not shown.



For a club like Wigan, its just not good enough!

No ben flower today according to Lammys interview on Wigan TV. Also Goerge Burgess very doubtful. Maybe that's why Romain was withdrawn from Fridays game and dint play at London. Not sure whats wrong with Flower

Hopefully nothing too serious and just resting them up ahead of the Wire game. I guess one or two guys not in the squad like Navarette, Havard or Kilner will step up now and that may be no bad thing. You’d think Flower and Burgess are guaranteed places in our starting 17, so we should have 5 or 6 guys fighting for a couple of spots today.

How did the fastest Player in training get on?

From speaking to a friend who attended he says we were good in the first half and poor in the second but we also changed the team around and gave young lads a chance.



I can live with that TBH, although it would have been nice to get a win for Faz’ testimonial changing the team around so much is bound to have an effect.

That’s right, the first 30 mins I thought we were pretty good but once the player merry go round started we looked all at sea. More positives than negatives for me though. Really enjoyed it even though it was colder than the mother in laws affection.

I think Partington will be in the 17 after that - Clark didn't look anywhere near fit enough so doubt he'll be in the mix.

Isa looked as threatening as I’ve seen him for the first 40 mins. Interesting that Greenwood was played on the right side in his spell, even with Faz off the field. It was also interesting to see Hastings popping up all over the field and not just sticking to one side.



Typical pre season game with it being really scrappy and not much of a spectacle once the changes started but guess they got what they needed to from it.

How did Clarke look?

Didn’t seem to do too long. Looked in good shape compared to when I saw him play for Leigh last year but maybe a bit eager to impress. Made an error in contact and didn’t do much of a stint. I thought Bullock was his usual handful with the ball and looks fitter. He’ll be an important player for us this year. We cannot just rely on George Burgess to take us forward through the middle.

Poor turnout for faz 3700 one club elite player respected by all what’s happened to the loyal Wigan support ?

Disgraceful attendance for a club which claims to be biggest and best in the game.



Even St Helens had a attendance of 4,125 for McCarthy-Scarbrooke's Testimonial game against London Broncos and he is not in the same class as Liam Farrell.



Perhaps, it would have been better to play the Testimonial game against Leigh Centurions as there might have been more away supporters and the Thursday game against Swinton Lions.

I thought Clarke was awful. Can't remember him taking the ball into contact once and looked knackered after a couple of minutes and was struggling to get back in the defensive line. My scapegoat for the year!

Looked good for the first 30/35 until all the changes. I never read too much into friendlies.
